The Nice Guys (2016) is actually really entertaining. Have you seen it?

I was already a big fan of Kiss Kiss Bag Bang but for some reason was skeptical about this Shane Black movie. I should have trusted him and the really solid cast.

Although it has a lot in common with KKBB Nice Guys is slightly less convoluted. You may even be able to follow the plot in one viewing. Easily with two. Just like KKBB I liked these characters and wanted to spend more time with them.

Who else watched The Nice Guys and what did you think?

Loved it. And Gosling plays a great dumb guy.

Yes he does. Yet somehow remained likeable despite being dumb, a not so great dad and as Holly pointed out a bad person.

If you haven't seen Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, I highly recommend it. I credit it with being the movie that reminded folks that Robert Downey Jr is a talented actor.

I enjoyed that movie. Pretty underrated comedy too of 2016.

It's f-cking good! I just realized now that I prefer Gosling's character since Sebastian from La La Land.

I liked it on first watch, I enjoy it a lot better now. Gosling is very funny; Crowe is a strong presence. I like the plot, too: an interesting, mostly well-written mystery. Pleasing, colorful cinematography. The whole film ties together well.

I hope its cult status grows and maybe we can a get sequel someday.
