All I remember was that there were two teams in uniforms doing an exercise on a training camp and then someone or a group of them start using real bullets. (It's not Die Hard 2)
I believe it's from the 60's-70's but I could be wrong.
Southern Comfort has a NG group in the bayou on training who fires blanks at locals as a joke. They fire back with real bullets and start hunting the soldiers.

I found one with a very similar premise but browsing through youtube I don't recognize those scenes so I think I'm mixing things up. It was Killzone, btw.
