She had to go. Pat Petersen was a cast member and she was brought in for him. I love Knots so much but they had a terrible track record with making these great characters turn “crazy”. Linda wasn’t exactly crazy but she was no Abby. She was just annoying. Linda vs Paige was fun. When they cut costs for this season, they wanted to put her on recurring and Lar Park Lincoln declined, so they offed her. Like Jill, they missed a great opportunity w good actresses. They also should have tried harder to keep Lynne Moody. She was great but unhappy, why she left. Bringing Stacy Galina back as Kate was ridiculous. The wig alone was awful and distracting. Then she takes it off as kate and voila, her hair is now fark and 5 inches longer. Like the audience is so dumb. The producers didn’t even try to somehow morph her change they just didn’t want that ridiculous wig on her anymore. Speaking of hair, Nicolllete comes in season 13 from a direct match to super long hair and an obvious fall giving her three times more hair, and Jason is long in the hospital bed with a crew cut. Now how’d he get that haircut going from a car accident to a hospital bed. Fresh cut over the summer? Producers didn’t even try and hide that one. Again they thought no one would notice? So weird. But the worst decision the producers made was adding Claudia to the cast. Her character was a less sophisticated, less attractive version of Abby and just irritating. No other cast member bugged me as much as her. I always say they never ever should have gotten rid of Constance McCashin and Julie Harris as they were great actresses and Lili Mae especially, grounded Val and the show. Speaking of Val … omg. They REALLY didn’t know what to do with her for about three seasons. She needs Lily Mae.
