I can name a few shows where the first season was just great, and with each subsequent season, the series got worse and worse. These are The Walking Dead and The Hundred. Those two shows are great, but each season has drifted away from the first. If you watch the first season and then the last season, you can tell they are two different shows.
Maybe you're right, I'm not arguing. Well, everyone has different tastes.
For me, Monica is better, since I'm a fan of the TV series Friends. And I just really like her better.
