I haven't seen Planes Trains, but it seems like a vague comparison rather than a specific one to call it a "direct copy"
What movies did it copy?
What's misunderstood about the Nazis?
It's unfortunate that the revival became worried with PCness. One of the best things about MST3K is that it never shied away from Politically Incorrect humor. No one was safe. They made fun of everyone and everything. With that said, they still called out blatant racism/sexism every and now then (I don't see a problem with that anyways, as it's always very subtle). There are even times where I don't find certain quips tasteful or funny, but I'd rather have them do what they want instead of worrying about hurting people's feelings.
I wouldn't say the return went overboard with the PC comedy or anything. I still like it. Jonah is actually a likable, funny host that just has fun with it. I'm not a big of the robots, but they're passable. The segments are hit or miss, but that's the way they've always been. The show will never be as funny as it once was. That's just to be expected. Rifftrax feels more like the old stuff
By fans, it's considered a continuation of the original show, or rather season 13. It is not listed as such on the internet
No doubt is great. I love Gwen Stefani
Weird. All I remember reading is that they were required to show documents of some heritage, but I don't think they had to be fully Native American so they could be mixed
In the movie it's just one tribe and they're essentially supposed to be modeled after American Indians played by American Indian actors
To any CCM listener like myself, Mandisa's voice was an iconic one. Truly an unexpected loss
Yes. Basically the warewolves are in a Quilette tribe, Jacob (played by Taylor Lautner) is one of the main characters and is part of the love triangle
Dude. For once in your life, sit back, relax, and, enjoy the movie instead of writing essays of over analysing them. The first two Ernest movies both have quite light-hearted, simplistic messages. While Ernest goes to Jail is a bit darker, these are all full fledged, kid-friendly comedies
Can you take your autism elsewhere, please?
I know in the Twilight films each Native American actor had to show proof of heritage of some kind. I don't remember reading anything saying he was half Native American, I think there's def something in there but the details seem rather vague
I don't plan to see it either. I don't see how he's "forced." I think we see better examples of forced older actors I don't care for that have been in Hollywood for years. Brad Pitt, Leo DiCaprio, Richard Gere, Samuel L Jackson who we see pop up in EVERYTHING. I have nothing against these actors, but I don't care for their acting and think they're all a bit overrated. I'm not calling for them to stop getting cast simply because I don't want them to be because I know millions of other people like them. It's hard to say someone's getting pushed when they're so early in the game. Call out the older actors they've been pushing for years, not the new guys. By the way, Austin Butler was very good in Dune Pt. 2. I didn't even recognize him at first. He has acting talent
As far as I know he's like 1/8 Native American or something like that but honestly he looks like he could be 1/4
Why do you have such a problem with this guy? , You've already complained about him. Would you prefer him in minor roles instead? That's how the movie industry works. You try to make a movie star. Maybe they are, maybe they aren't. There are successful, very popular actors that I don't like. I ignore them and move on
By the way, lots of Jewish people have white skin
I agree with you. At the end of the the day, skin color doesn't matter unless people try to make it matter more than it does
Elementary
Flipped
Benny and Joon
I think it depends. Innocent curiosity is fine, but if you assume someone isn't from the country simply based off their skin color (without even knowing their accent or anything like that), and have a problem with it, I would call that a type of prejudice (and I think this can apply anywhere, even in countries with mostly the same race)
