The film was originally PG and based on some of the imagery in the film (namely the Grand High Witch after her transformation), I would guess this movie would warrant a PG-13 rating at most in today's film market.
The Witches shouldn't have been remade, but I guess good films inevitably get remade just for profits sake (although the remake didn't make any money ironically). I had high hopes when I heard Robert Zemeckis and Guillermo Del Toro were going to work on the remake but it ended up being complete garbage. Anjelica Huston cannot be topped. She was perfect as the Grand High Witch:)
I agree. She was very sexy in this movie.
Anjelica Huston as the Grand High Witch is my favorite witch of all-time. Iconic. She is mesmerizing on screen.
I agree completely. I love the Witches.

This film was the last worked on personally by the great Jim Henson. The practical effects and especially the Grand High Witch makeup are iconic. Anjelica Huston was amazing in this movie. The remake is utter garbage.
I'm guessing because she only applied it externally and did not ingest any of the formula perhaps she had fur growing on her neck and chest where she applied it forever after that.

Yes, you are correct
He is wearing a brown curly wig and wearing a black/gold pattern blouse top and sitting next to the witch in red with the big 80's style hair.
The remake was an absolute abomination. I had such high hopes when I heard Robert Zemeckis was going to direct and then he disappointed me so very much. At this point, I would rather see a sequel to the original 1990 film with an adult Luke hunting all the witches in America, including the new Grand High Witch (assuming someone had to take her place since she was killed in the first movie).
