Im not referring to you. My opinion was on those who have watched society of the snow first. I had a few friends who were telling me about society of the snow. They had no idea about Alive and had not watched it. And obviously there are going to be comparisons. I dont understand the need to though call Alive a bad movie. It was made in the 90s. I probably need to rewatch it now too see how bad it was!
I have loved this film and watched it more than once. Although an intense survival story, it did have some feel good elements. Suddenly people are trashing Alive ever since Society of the Snow released. I did watch the latter few days back, and while it is a wonderful movie, I still like Alive better.
I didn't find the movie confusing. It just kept me curious as what is going to happen next. And the end answers it all. When the doctor says he died of Antrax, and then Peter kind of smiles, says it all. It was something I didn't expect, as I thought Phil was evil and conjuring something all the while. I wouldn't watch the movie again. Okay for a one time to figure out the suspense.
Awful and cringeworthy, especially when they kept showing the memes. I was initially upset when the news was out that JD had physically abused Heard. It was disappointing. When the trial was streamed live, I then felt that she was not a victim.
Coming back to the docu, it was pathetic. Just snippets of the trial which we have all watched. And a lot of emphasis on the social media, the tweets, tik toks and reels. It did kind of sympathize with Amber heard and also mentions tons of evidence not allowed in court. I would like to know what really was that evidence!
Agree. It's more of the business, and branding side of the sports celebrity. It was still entertaining though. Whether you like basketball or not, it still appeals to all audiences.
If you like Ben and Matt, you should watch the movie. Some great and funny one liners throughout the movie.
Agree. I could not actually finish the movie, forget the repeat value.
I felt the same. She kind of sounds like Miley Cyrus.
Tried watching the movie and just could not get through. I was curious after watching their big win at the Oscars, and now really disappointed with how bad this film is.
Currently both are tied at 8.9.
I love the show and I am not from the US.
Season 1 and Season 2 is not really funny, but I didn't mind it I didn't feel like turning off my TV or switching to watch something else But Season 3 onwards is when the episodes get funnier.
Also depends on what humor you are looking for. Seinfeld is more the sarcastic kind of humor. Not everyone probably enjoys it.
I started watching just 3 - years back when it aired on Prime. It was from the episode Chinese restaurant that got me interested. And then I got to the episode 'the contest'. I couldn't stop laughing at the concept. I am re watching episodes again on Netflix.
I must say it was my brother who told me to watch Seinfeld. I had no clue about any of the iconic episodes. I just diligently watched each episode whether good or bad. After watching the soup nazi I felt they could not top that. But I still watch reruns and some episodes I didn't like earlier, I like them now.
I have my 13 year old niece who has watched a few episodes with me. She loves the soup nazi, the little kicks and Puerto Rican day. Heck she even refers some scenes which I find amusing.
So agree with you. I have always watched friends, mainly because of the hype Never really got to watch Seinfeld. I watched Seinfeld only a few years back and don't really enjoy watching Friends anymore. The only comic show I enjoy a tad better than Seinfeld is Whose line is it anyway? Although we can't really compare since that is a comedy improvisation show.
I haven't so far seen any details about his family, except he had a brother who was also molested. Probably they were orphans and easy targets for Dahmer.
Way too many. Not in any particular order I still laugh out loud when I watch the contest episode- Kramer announcing he is out and having a good night's sleep while the others are frustrated and bickering about silly stuff. Jerry watching cartoons lol
The episode where they are trying to convince the journalist that they are not gay- George telling her if she wants to have sex right now. Jerry talking to his mom after she reads about him. The way he says 'Maaa' cracks me up.
The wait out- Kramer walking in tight jeans like Frankenstein, cop arrests him thinking he is a predator and Kramer says pleadingly ' I am the baby sitter'.
Kenny roasters episode- Jerry acting like Kramer after spending a night in his apartment is gold!
Well Elvis is Elvis. No one can really get in his shoes. What I felt is Austin had completely different features from Elvis. So no matter how much they would try to make him look like Elvis, it would fail. They nailed a few parts with the Las Vegas performances. But unfortunately they were not really able to bring out Elvis' charisma in the film. It was more of a sad story. That was the same problem I had with Rocketman. It just showed the sad life of Elton. On the other hand Bohemian Rhapsody did a good job portraying Freddie's charisma.
I enjoyed the movie Pretty thrilling. But yes many scenes, where I felt what the heck were they doing.Sadly that must be why the movie has poor reviews.
Most of the new artists also don't write songs. Neither do they sing live. Elvis was hell great of a singer and performer Lot of artists have been influenced by his personality and on stage charisma including the Beatles That itself speaks volumes. Oh yes, he also played the guitar and piano.
That's good to know. My friend watched it too and she's not a huge fan of Elvis. She loved the movie. I wouldn't say the movie was bad. It is definitely a must watch.
I agree on the stage performances. They were amazing. I have also been an Elvis fan, mainly because my parents used to watch his movies when I was a kid. I have watched the Elvis: that's the way it is on DVD and just thought he was spectacular. Lucky that you got to seem him live :) I feel I was comparing this film to Bohemian Rhapsody, which had a fantastic portrayal of Freddie Mercury . He garnered even more younger fans from that movie. I would like the same for Elvis.
I was looking forward to this one. The first half was not gripping enough for me. The flashbacks just keep going back and forth which annoyed me. However the second half of the movie makes up for the dull first half and is the saving grace.
Coming to the cast, Austin Butler is a good looking chap, but he doesn't look anything like Elvis. But there are certain scenes where he delivers a stellar performance. He nails the dance mannerisms in particularly Suspicious minds. I wish the director would had shown his fun persona on stage. The movie tends to be serious and seldom any light moments. If you are not a fan and don't know much of Elvis, it could get a bit disinteresting to the viewer.
