I get this too. I didn't buy either of them to be honest. They just didn't look like climbers. Just attractive women to bring an audience in.
Yeah the first half, especially climbing the tower... was just ooooooer! But second half, i seemed to kinda get used to it.
I thought this too, and the Brunette one should have been completely out of shape, as she was hadn't been active for a year since her husbands death. She was just drinking a lot and basically not living. Yet somehow she suddenly was strong enough to do a heap of stuff, especially dehydrated and hungry. Unrealistic.
Because if he leaves police academy then he gets arrested and locked up in jail.
But if he gets kicked out.. then its like "well I tried" and that was the loophole, hence why he is trying to get kicked out.
I guess he can't exactly go AWOL in order to get kicked out, otherwise it would be interpreted that he left.
8 years ago this was a bad idea. And it still is a bad idea.
OK i was probably about 9 or 10 when I watched this movie back in the late 80s or early 90s.
I remember the scene very well because I found it boring. I didn't really understand at all what was going on. I thought the girl was just hiding under the podium and for some reason he was doing his speech with a stupid voice because he was old and something was wrong with him.
Now as an adult its hilarious especially at the end!
Always someone to be like "Er mah geeeerd what happened to the dogggoo!!??!" hehe
Yeah was completely irrelevant.
I think with everything else going on, the dog was probably the last thing on Elliot and Darlenes minds. But you can assume that the landlord just ended up keeping him.
You can only assume Dom is still abroad. I mean that whole thing annoyed me. Why didn't dom text Darlene when she got on the plane and saw she wasnt there and be like? i changed my mind i'm on board.. then maybe darlene would have boarded.. she still had time.
Or maybe Dom did fly back and she was with her own family, gave up on Darlene for not making the flight.
wow 17 years ago this thread was started! haha
But can you imagine now if someone jokingly shot a dog on a movie?
Everyone would lose their shit.. because OMG DOGGO!!! noooo!
Gotta be the Rocky movies for me. I just simply don't have any interest at all in boxing. I don't get the joy of punching each other with gloves until someone passes out.
Yup theres quite a few bad aviation things going on here.
<spoiler>There is one part where Sylvie has to land the plane because the captain is incapacitated. But she makes a huge deal on the fact that although she can land a plane, she definietely doesnt have the skills to take off.
Well I am no trained pilot. But I have played flight simulator. I am absolutely sure that if you can land a commercial airliner, you know enough to get one into the air again. Really is just a case of lining up on the runway, setting flaps. hitting max power and pulling back on the stick. Then once airborn hit the autopilot. (She was already seen programming the auto pilot so she knows that bit. And definitely would have programmed ILS for the landing).
Other dumb part. They have a bullet hole in a window.. basically a window which could blow out. Then the captain, a trained pilot decides to fly the plane as high as it can go. Well it don't take a genius to guess what happens next does it!?
</spoiler>
Its because her brother foiled her plan in breaking him out at the dance. He deceived her and killed more people which lead to the girl she loved also getting shot and almost being killed.
She realised at this point that he was beyond retribution and redemption. But she still loved him and wanted to save him from the pain of the electric chair.
I love the fact that they have different accents. Its just a shame that isn't replicated across the board. With Bobby clearly from New Zealand, except she's actually from Mars. And thats fine, if other Martians on the show managed to pull of a decent New Zealand sounding accent. Mars was colonised by Kiwis. I'm cool with that :D
I haven't read up on what happened to the actor and how he got fired. But its such a shame. He is such a cool dude in the show. Like one of my favourite characters actually.
So did he actually film his death scene? It just looks like a freeze shot of him with some blood floating around. Clever way of doing it in that case.
I would say that if you are currently of a sound mind and do not have any existing mental health conditions then you should be good to go. If you do have mental health issue and taking other medicines for it, then you're essentially going into the unknown and putting a hell of a burden on yourself which could be a bad thing all round.
Research it, and make a sound decision. Do not be afraid and try and get it into your subconcious that what you experience is due to the drugs and it will end once it wears off. I would worry that fear of it could cause a bad trip.
Of course do it with your guide who will be 100% sober at this point to look after you. You need to trust her with your life.
Spain is not a hot country.
Everyone thinks Spain is a hot country. Sure it is in the summer. But in the winter its colder than the UK, Ireland, Denmark. Heck it even has a ski resort in the South of Spain.
Inland Spain regularly drops into minus numbers throughout winter, creating an average mean temperature less of that of England.
Wasn't boss actually chained up? In which case, I think its obvious what happened to him. :(
I think the tentacles were technolgy, similar to the ladder. Made of harder stuff that didnt break due to the time differentials. They were obviously aware of this cave by this point and had been developing ways to get to it and navigate it perhaps from the ship orbiting. Doesn't fully explain how they were pulled up into the ocean and into orbit by them. Perhaps again, technology could have put a bubble around them which we didn't see. Advanced stuff in over 10,000 years.
What didn't make sense is how the water didnt go into the cave. People passed into it no problem, so I don't understand how the barrier blocked water. The cave should have flooded.
