Your tears, they are delicious.
This is a pretty typical example of male logic.
Oh dear. Are you alright? Do you want to talk about it?
Easy there, keyboard cowboy. Glancing over these boards, you come across as desperate. Sucks to be on the losing side, I suppose.
U mad bro ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It's been a year since I watched it, so I don't remember much of it. The whole fantasy bit with the bandits was pure cringe and went on too long. The running joke with the leg lamp I also didn't get, too Looney Tunes for it to be in a movie. The dad seemed really thick, which is a trope that you get hit on the head over in American movies and TV shows. The family dynamic also seemed off, like the whole thing was actually some kind of eerie nightmare played off as fun and games (that might also be due to the acting). It's all a bit over the top to the point where it's just not very funny to me. I remember the bit with the Santa in the mall also went on way too long. I think that's my main point of contention: the jokes were really stretched out.
The movie looks really bad too. I guess it was a low budget flick, but man. Still bad.
I chuckled here and there but not nearly enough. I was expecting something way better because of the high ratings and everybody praising it.
I never watched this movie, so I don't have any sentimental value attached to it. I thought it was pretty meh, and plain weird in some spots. Might also be because I'm not American.
Must be tough being you.
There are plenty of people still buying DVDs, bluray never squashed that market...
For me personally bluray is not really that much of an upgrade to DVDs (unless you have a giant TV maybe) and 4K resolution is off-putting to me for many movies, especially older ones.
OK, that's an interesting opinion. Let's take for example the scene in The Last Crusade where Indy is fighting in and on the tank driving through the desert. That scene alone is a master class in editing.
Not sure what you mean by "camp", the movies are pretty campy by design. That doesn't necessarily mean bad editing.
Enjoy it :)
Looks like it pissed you off. Job well done by Nolan.
Is this what incels think?
Bro, it's a a frickin' movie.
The director's cut in particular is I think a wholly satisfying story told very well indeed.
When I watch a film by a director I like and it's pretty much a steaming pile of shit, I'm always too nice at first. Still going to give it a second chance, mostly for the recreation of 30s Hollywood, but I have the feeling my opinion will shift more to yours.
Horrible editing? Oh my dear boy...
