I see where you're coming from, but JoJo Rabbit showed that he is very capable of some very serious material. Dark, even. Either way, after the disaster the ST was, I think a fresh face like Taika is needed...IF you want Star Wars to continue. Personally, I would have been just fine with them just killing it completely. But we both know Disney won't do that and will continue to milk it for as long as possible.
