None of his colleagues were like, "what's Gary been up to?" - oh he's with the woman who was going to hire him as a hitman and whose husband ended up dying soon after?
I was willing to ignore that - despite his various disguises - he always looked EXACTLY the same except with different hair. But this was too much.
Ridiculous movie.
It was really weird and so unrealistic! She was so close with her family and they were killed in the most brutal ways and she was like :(
That's it? Okay. I was waiting in horror for her reaction to the revelation and there was just...nothing.
Dore is a massive grifter lol. The right-wing drift on a chunk of left-leaning online media personalities should be studied.
"Woke" has no standard definition that I've seen anyone put out - moreso I've seen a few big anti-woke people struggle to define it when asked - but it seems to be a nebulous idea of whatever right-wing people dislike at that moment in time. My point was assuming the politics of someone with purple hair is woke is extremely outdated.
I am not American, but I am Canadian and have seen in both countries the over-the-top violent reaction to peaceful students protesting the genocide in Gaza, much stronger than the reaction to January 6 or anti-vax protests. All the right-wing free speech warriors are super quiet - they're happy to see their enemies get silenced. Anti-censorship is much more a cause of the right than the left so I'm going to look at the right with more contempt because of that failure in consistently defending free speech.
I am not sure what you mean by far left, as that to me means communists and yes I would agree that is not a large number.
I think you have a very superficial view of what woke is if you think hairstyles dictate what a person's political views are. Big tech is largely seen as an enemy for left-wing groups as the top leaders in tech largely have conservative beliefs, anti-labor practices, and have ever-growing influence over governments - to only name a few of the problems with them. I do not know any tech leaders that are lauded by the left. And to be clear, the left-wing should not be confused with centrists/liberals (i.e. most Democrats).
The mom essentially abandoned her kid with a shitload of trauma and thought it was okay because she threw pills and therapy at him. And then the threat of military school (i.e. possible violent death). She was 100% in the wrong. He was\is a child. She failed miserably as a parent. The situation with her ex-husband was largely not in her control, but her treatment of her son afterwards was in her control.
I believe the site Common Sense Media would be more suited to inform you.
The bad guys were tech\nft\crypto bros, people associated with the anti-woke crowd. Adam Clay was doing all this for an older black teacher who was "the only one who cared about me" - when anti-woke crowd has a widespread belief that teachers are bad and indoctrinating children. Hatred for corrupt cops is a WAY more common belief among the woke crowd. I've no idea how you came to your conclusion.
It was bad. Statham was good despite the awful dyed facial hair. The FBI daughter was awful...like why are you hunting down the guy avenging your ma? Stupid and annoying, idc about her oath. Required too much "ignore how implausible this is" - even for an action movie.
It wasn't just law enforcement, like immediately after he asked that guy for his car keys at the gas station and he drives off, it blows up lol. There were people there filling up on gas.
Speaking of debased minds, it took you two years to come up with that reply. Good job.
I read this movie was good, but wow, I loved it! I was expecting Marvel schlock and it somehow managed to not fall into that too much. I've always thought Chris Pine was kinda bland but he was great here too. Actually I wasn't expecting anything of any of the cast but everyone did a good job.
I would love a sequel, but this is such a great standalone film too. Kudos to everyone involved.
People say the wife of the guy that got his fingers lopped off, but I feel like the movie was implying that he molested his daughter and that she knew about it and did nothing.
I would go with the food critic's assistant or whatever he was.
I've been uninterested in Marvel movies since Infinity Wars and kinda just watch them now to know what's happening. They're usually just "fine."
This was BAD. Wow. It felt completely soulless which is a weird thing to say about a Raimi film but there ya go. It's not really his film, but this franchise is so bloated and bland now, doesn't matter how much VFX vomit they can throw on the screen.
I bet Pearl had that talk she practiced with Mitsy with the real Howard. He probably felt immense guilt for not only going off to war but also keeping her at her family's farm. And we don't know what atrocities he saw/participated in during the war, so who knows how twisted he had become.
Everyone else could sense that there was something wrong with Pearl except for his sister who seemed a bit airheaded. Pearl was not good at hiding her strangeness. But Howard had gone to the point of marrying her. He liked her strangeness. I think Howard was sick in the head before he ever met Pearl.
I had heard people say this when it came out and thought it was just overhyped but I just watched it and...yeah. That was fantastic. Mia Goth hit it out of the park.
Besides the whodunit discussion at the end, everything was awful. That's...fine, but I was shocked how they got such terrible performances out of good actors. On paper, this movie sounded right up my alley, but ended up being one of the worst movies I've seen in a while.
Yeah, gross is a good descriptive. I agree it's not a bad movie, but not something I'd rewatch lol. The car stuff isn't even the most deranged part of the movie which is crazy.
Yeah, he was a bit annoying, but I think that part of his character was how overly sheltered he was because Henry was overprotective.
I was surprised how good it was. I'm not really familiar with any of the actors besides Stephen Dorff. Tim Blake Nelson was fantastic, I'll have to look out for him in other things.
It was at least better than Nobody. I can't remember the last time I watched an action movie I really liked though, the mediocrity is rampant.
