It would be overly cynical like most Marvel movies I think it is certain age groups who don’t like it. It seems to be everyone who was a teenager or older when it first came out in 1997 hates it while those who were younger at that time or didn’t exist yet like it today. Also there are those who think Batman has to be dark and serious and can’t stand campiness I watched this movie all the time with my grandparents on VHS as a kid. My siblings would pretend to be Batman, Robin, and Batgirl while my grandparents would be Poison Ivy and Mr. Freeze There probably would be a 3 year gap between seasons as well. Also probably more cynical humor and pop culture references like a “Marvel” movie instead of taking itself seriously. Yeah, or a 1990s/2000s-style Syfy Channel Original Movie In the era of direct-to-DVD films it probably could, such as the sequels to Species in the 2000s, but those types of movies don’t get made anymore. Anything else missing from the Producer’s Cut? Also is disappointing that they don’t include any of the songs from the original film as well. Thought they would have the kids sing “Another Dumb Blonde” and/or “There She Goes” Which one is the cut where Loomis yells at the sheriff for not protecting Jamie after she gets killed? The musical numbers aren’t even that memorable. It’s all generic songs about snow and it being a snow day. Wonder if Marley talked to his son at the actual church service So Kubrick = Grady I really like it, especially the scene where he compares religion to Monopoly (“Bob Ross” Monopoly being Mormonism) and explains how religious groups always copy off each other like how “Creep” copies “Air That I Breathe” Yes, I wish she were in more mainstream movies Would be an easier watch Wonder if someone can edit Batman & Robin to remove all the campy elements Inside the milkshake or beneath the cup? I do wonder what the speculation was for the plot of the film before the movie was released back in 1997. Like just from the trailer alone, what would audiences expect? Maya Hawke since she is Uma’s actual daughter and would be the perfect age. Would love for there to be a part 3 to make the series a trilogy! I assume WB will release the director’s cut in 2025 for the 30th anniversary
