Not quite. Infantry officers who aren’t prior enlisted go through a commissioning program, then Officer Basic Course, (basic training for officers), then airborne school if they haven’t been, and then finally Ranger School. They get trained more than the enlisted men- enlisted don’t have to do Ranger School. It now occurs to me that you probably weren’t talking about the AMERICAN Army. My bad. I think they could have done pretty much the same thing and made it plausible if they had used the AH where the CSA merely won the war and survived to the present day. The uncommon part is that the undercover cop in both gets too close. Fast and Furious took it further by having the undercover cop completely convert to the other side. She never went pro- some kind of injury. As for sniper training, HPD likely has a sniper course and maybe officers don’t have to be SWAT to do it. Another possible explanation: the house was worth a lot less when they first bought it. Perhaps because they were both good looking the priest thought they were younger than they really were. I enjoyed it. I liked the helicopter getaway at the beginning and the shootouts. Jake and Jesse’s end was difficult- in a good way. I knew these guys were career criminals but they were still likable. I wanted them to survive but knew that story wise there really was no other way it could end. I first saw the DVD a few years back and I expected it to be horrible- because of Paul Walker and Hayden Christiansen. Then I remembered that Anakin Skywalker wasn’t Christiansen’s fault and that Paul Walker was good in Running Scared. I finally watched after it was recently added to Netflix. On Home Improvement the idea to skip Christmas would be more likely gender flipped- Jill would come up with the idea in order to stop Tim from doing some OTT home Christmas display that would possibly blow up the house.
