Half of the reason this movie worked so well is because they had to get creative with the Miles Morales material because Homecoming's Peter took so much from his character in the comics.
Miles was never that interesting in the books but in this film he's gold.
Without Homecoming's existence, I think Miles would have kept being that black experiment Marvel tried hyping up instead of his own solid character.
Spider-Verse had to seriously shake things up for the Miles character. They gave him a legit personality separate from Peter's.
So as much as I am indifferent toward Homecoming as a Spider-Man film, if that film led up to Spider-Verse's version of Miles then hell yes.
If your question is serious, then you might as well ask every solo superhero comic book to feature another superhero guest-star to solve all their problems.
That's just one of the things you have to ignore with these superhero universes.
