Then why still have the safeguards against them escaping? Events in Psycho movies 2 and 3 are ignored. The Mrs. Spool character does not exist in this film. I'm as confused as you are but I'll try to clear things up. Wikipedia states that this movie is both a third sequel and a prequel to the 1960 film, but this is incorrect as later in the article it states that the original screenwriter, Joseph Stephano who wrote the screenplay for this movie ignores parts 2 and 3. So this film is not a third sequel, but is both a direct sequel and a prequel to the 1960 original film. It has no connection to parts 2 and 3. I do not know why the filmmakers did not reflect this in the title nor whether Stefano tried and failed to get them to change the title to fit his screenplay, but either way, the title should be changed to show it has no relation to the last two films. Maybe her character in the book was overweight. Ever heard of the ignore list on here? I'm using it on you for being rude. it is entirely fair that a woman has to choose between a career and a family, if she wants to enlarge her family and it is not true that a man doesn't have to do that. He also might have to choose a different career that allows him more time with his larger family. Or he might have to be the one giving up the career if his wife is bringing home more money, so he can take care of the children. When children are involved, the careers have to have second place. If you had manners you would be touched by this person's thoughts of others. They recognize the joys the actress gave to many. If you can not make decent replies on here, then please get off of all social sites until you learn how to do so. My sincerest sympathies go to Anne, her family and friends. I have some films she was in on my Tubi Tv list and as I can tell you it will be hard to watch them. She was a good actress. I'm doing my part to stop the jerks from commenting on here. Rather than just complain, I'm using the tool provided on here: The Ignore list and I suggest that anyone else do the same, if you really are disgusted at the awful things people are saying about this or any other future topic. To give the show a romantic angle to it. I don't think Natalie was purposely keeping Nick a vampire for her own reasons. But I do object to, not her character but the fact that the series made her a romantic interest of Nick's. That has been done so much in past shows/movies and really never made sense, so they either needed to not do it or had an episode or two to show why it definitely would not have worked and had them being friends from then on. My guess is that the more people that knew about Nick in the present day, the greater chance the Enforcers would not like it and so their lives would be in danger since the Enforcers would kill them. Actually if you watch the Making of...documentary you will see that they never could get her calmed down. They simply filmed the scenes very fast and then took the screaming child away. It was also stupid to bring in the idea of Dracula having no heartbeat which essentially made him a reanimated corpse, which Mina would have remembered once she was freed from his control. She never would have kissed him then. A reincarnated person looks like the dead person. In the picture on the ceiling, Mina looked nothing like Elisabeta. That is one possible meaning of the movie. Another is that Dracula is cursed for renouncing God. The curse is lifted after his call out asking where is his god and why has he forsaken him, thereby indicating he knows Satan is nothing and God is the one he should have never been against. I agree with you about how Dracula is portrayed as a love interest. Not only has he done villainous things but he was portrayed as a reanimated corpse. No woman in her right mind would love that and at the end, Mina is shown to have been in her right mind and even kisses him, no doubt remembering he has no heartbeat. This made no sense. Plus, if you really look in the novel Lucy is the one that Dracula thought of as his dead wife. It is very faint, to be sure but the idea is there. Coppola was very wrong to switch this, thinking it was not tragic enough since she dies early on, but it perfectly goes with the quickness of the death of Vlad's first wife. And even that was done wrong. There was no need to fabricate a story. The real story was so much more tragic than the one made up for the movie. Worse part of the ending is that in the picture on the ceiling of Dracula and Elisabeta, Mina clearly is not the double image of his dead wife. This is never explained and this also throws out the reincarnation idea. Yes and a very poor rehash. This movie totally fabricated the reason Dracula's wife died. Sure the Jack Palance movie never mentioned why she died but did not make up a story for it. Also, the Palance movie left out the silly shape shifting that is in the Bram Stoker novel. And they got the right character that was also the one whom Dracula thought of his dead wife-Lucy. This has backing from the novel from the way Lucy was taken and how Dracula spoke about her. Nettles Jake said all men were bad so that Fa and Be would not trust anyone. Jake had to send a brutal message that a break had occurred in their relationship and could no longer be trusted. But Fa still knew he and Be were loved nonetheless and accepted this "break" in the bond that was once shared between his "parents" and him. His love moved him to make a few final attempts to communicate with them and his love finally moved him to stop and leave. Also, remember that after Jake tells Fa that if he and Be left "men would not hurt Ma and Pa". At that point, Fa understood that he and Be must leave. I believe that is why he finally stopped trying to reach them and left. He loved them and did what he was told to keep them safe. It would have been against the Jedi Code to kill an unarmed opponent and Obi Wan showed him mercy. Right after she stored the message she was caught and brought to Darth Vader, so of course she would keep up the pretense. Luke may not have personally known Obi Wan very long but he still cared that the man who knew his father had died. Their knowing one another is not a retcon, but an explanation of how she knew Obi Wan Kenobi. She even is excited when Luke tells her Ben is with him.
