Amen. I can’t remember the last original, non rom-com (they’re ALL the same) movie and as much as I adore Harley Quinn, ENOUGH COMIC BOOK MOVIES! The best movies seem to always be indie but they’re hard to find since advertising isn’t a thing w/ them and any original, non rom com or non superhero movie gets little advertisement. The last fantastic and added to one of my favorite movies list is The Professor. How did I heard about it? During Johnny Depp’s defamation trial. I checked it out because I hadn’t heard of it since it’s an indie film and a damn good movie. That’s about it only last good original film I can think of…but I just remembered This Is Where I Leave You, another great original movie. “ Unhinged villain chick was unnecessary.” Oh you mean the reincarnation of the Mason girl from Once Upon A Time In Hollywood? How in the HELL did Billy have a kid and who’s the Mom? It doesn’t make ANY sense that everyone in that small town knew about Sidney’s Mom, yet no one knew Billy got a girl knocked up in high school? Especially after it came out he was a serial killer. Crazy burn bitch knew, but no one else? It doesn’t make sense. It’s so dumb that I can’t even suspend disbelief. In Scream 3, sure I could suspend disbelief because it was set up in a very plausible way using the infamous “casting couch” auditions. Those were real and a lot if classic Hollywood actresses unabashedly admitted it, then you have the less willing participants. That actually happened so yeah, Sidney’s Mom having a kid after unwilling casting couch auditions makes sense. But you can’t have a character say, “It’s a small town!” in re: Sam being Billy’s kid yet no one, no one, not even super sleuth Gale Weathers, found that golden nugget while digging into Sidney’s Mom’s affair and Sidney’s family? And who is the Mom and where the hell was she throughout this entire movie? Then the bullshit of Sam talking to Billy…WHAT? Scream should have ended at 3. I’ve found no need for 4, Scream 2022, and whatever Scream 6 will be. I WILL say, in 4, I liked the beginning, the watching a movie of a movie watching a movie. It went down hill after that, but not as bad as Scream 2022. I’m not happy because I paid $6.00 to rent it when I could have rented a better movie. Was this even released in theaters? This isn’t the “real“ Joker. The Joker killed Bruce Waynes parents and J.P.’s Joker was in the police car. Perhaps the person who killed Bruce’s parents took over as the Joker’s persona. Because they were singing ‘Bring in the Clowns’ when they decided to screw with him, which lead to their deaths. Had they just left him alone and not have beaten him then they’d still be alive. If I remember correctly, Hindsight was a good show, but I believe VH1 (I think that's where I watched it) cancelled it after 1 season. Haha now I want to go find it to watch it. Sorry so late, my email was filtering this as spam. I went back and watched S1 and Florian and Bash knew each other since 2nd grade and Florian now worked for Bash as his Butler. The reason I don't remember Florian was because for whatever reason, I never saw this specific episode where they all go to a party at Bash's house. Debbie gets druuuuuunk as hell and clings to Florian all night and talks about her marriage problems or something. Florian grabs Ruth to help him get Debbie in a taxi to get her home. IMDB says he was in 4 episodes (including episode 1 of season 2, the one where he disappears) but I watched all of season 1 and I don't remember seeing him, including not seeing him in episode 1 of season 2 lol. The man is a mystery! Now, I don't think Bash knew Florian was gay. After watching Season 1 Episode 3 now knowing that they were best friends for so long and Bash's confused reaction at the gay club and appalled when the bartender hit on him and offered him a drink when they went looking for in in Season 2 Episode 1, and all that makes sense now. I did because because it being the 80’s and HIV and AIDS was new then. Oh that and I, for the life of me, **cannot remember who in the hell Florian is**, but they sure seemed pretty tight. THEN I couldn’t remember if Bash was gay or not. I think Bash mentioned a Butler or something and mentioned late paychecks, so I couldn’t remember if it was house staff that raised him, but when they went to the gay club it appears Bash and Florian were the same age so it wasn’t like Florian raised him, so there went that theory. The other hint they were of the same age is Florians folks were still alive. I waited for more hints to be dropped, but I got nothing. When Bash was by the pool crying and smoking while they were bleaching the house, I wasn’t sure if that bleaching thing was because they didn’t know much about HIV and AIDS back then and he was worried he could be infected that way or if he was worried he may have it because they were lovers. It literally went both ways and frustrated the crap out of me. However, Bash seemed shocked at the club. As if he didn’t know Florian was gay. There was that confusing moment too. Then they dropped the entire Florian thing all together after the pool scene and I just finished S2, so I still am no closer to remembering who Florian is and why he and Bash were super tight. I guess I’m going to have to rewatch S1 to solve the Florian mystery. part 2, first was too long ... First it was the secrecy of running around with a married woman, then it was the intrigue of marked ex-wife of a gangster. Mickey was a drama king and he didn’t really care about the fate or either woman. When the riskiness of getting away with Ginny were high then he said he was all in, but when she could spend more time with him then he wasn’t so in to it. Then in walks this woman who is all risk 24/7 with hiding from gangsters and within 3 meetings and 1 date, he’s in love with her. To Ginny early in the day, “I hardly know Carolina!” and later in the day to Carolina, “I’m in love with you.” Humpty insisted Carolina stay there even after Ginny suggested she go elsewhere that would be leas obvious, but Carolina and Humpty insisted they wouldn’t look for her there. He wanted Ginny to use her waitressing money to better his daughters life and take on the dangers that came with her instead of taking her away from it, especially after they came to the carrousel looking for her. I just finished watching it and you nailed it. I had a thought balloon with “...” pop up when the credits started rolling. POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT!!! I expected the rest characters to like have a “doh!” moment that went back to the scene where Mickey and Ginny were in the restaurant talking about tragedy being your own fault or fate playing a role. They realize how they all played a role in what happened or something, yet the only one who did accept their part in it was Ginny and even that wasn’t shown all that well. At it shows it that seems like is that she is upsets over Mickey... Ginny accepted that her actions caused her misery in her life, starting with cheating on her first husband and wrecking both him and herself and her career and ending up a waitress, blaming herself yet not blaming herself for his possible suicide (I’m assuming he did by this odd comment she made to Carolina during her birthday party, something about sleeping pills in a Philadelphia hotel room ), her son being a firebug, her unhappiness with Humpty, and being a waitress. Ginny felt remorse for her part for what happened. Ginny was half dead inside after losing her first husband and instead of ever rescuing herself, she always tried to get someone else to “rescue her.” Humpty and Mickey. That could have been because of that era. Ginny was tripping and the expensive watch and the phone call were the desperate acts of a dying woman at the end of a rapidly fraying rope. I think she recognized what she did and felt remorseful. It’s not like she could confess to it though. Mickey pointed the finger at Ginny for being the only one responsible instead of stepping up and taking some responsibility by saying “yeah, I led Ginny on knowing she was broken inside and I messed with her head and heart more when she knew something was up and when she called me on it, I reassured her over and over that there wasn’t anything to worry about.” He was also just looking for next exciting journey.. No, that I understood. I meant the ending with the school dance. I just sat there waiting for the next episode to pop up and nada. Just seemed like an odd place to end it. Like, it seemed like a better place to end it would have been him prepping in his room or pulling up to the school S3 picking up there. I liked S1 better too, but I liked how S2 showed how suicide affects those left behind because - from my own experience only - it was tunnel vision on just wanting the pain to stop and unintentionally forgetting how it will impact everyone from the people who love you right down to the person who finds you - that includes the first responders that comes after the 911 calls. Knowing some Fire Fighters, they don’t just leave that stuff at the fire hall. I also had a friend who works for the railroad and he told me a story about a cow on the tracks once and there wasn’t much he could do to save the cow, which led to a story of another conductor who had a guy committed suicide by laying on the tracks and he couldn’t stop the train in time and it really messed the conductor up. So that’s why I think S2 did a good job showinw the after math of it. Just the way the season ended with the school dance just ended at such an odd place. I get why S1 was only 13 episodes, but S2 can move past that 13 episode format. View all replies >
