Even "Morons from outer space" was true to its purpose.
"Wouldn't they have been in space suits to make sure they could live beyond the threshold? It would have been a great funny or die story, as they enter the shimmer they choke, die and fall over dead on top of the other dead teams, one foot inside. They cut the aliens waiting to greet them... "
