Interesting discussion vis a vis a new country formed from an amalgamated US/Canada/Mexico.
There's a graphic novel series out of Canada called USNA:The United States of North America. It imagines a country formed by the union of the US and Canada. The two governments are dissolved and ruling councils of politicians, military and business leaders are formed to govern various jurisdictions. USNA also has a rebellion stirring because the new country is much different than the one promised. It's an interesting read. http://www.usna.ca
