Good answer.....no, great answer....You made me laugh....Thank You Gertrude Stein: "Silent gratitude isn't very much use to anyone." Stay Gold Edge I enjoyed it. Peter Sarsgaard never disappoints. I think the character Kaan said, "You either have servants or you are a servant." But maybe it was, "Serve or be served." Stay Gold Edge Fiona: [after Bond finds her in the bathtub in his hotel room], "Since you're here, would you mind giving me something to put on?" [Bond casually hands Fiona her shoes] Not a line per se, but amusing. That exchange has stuck with me. Rajneesh: "Take life easily, lovingly, playfully, non-seriously. Seriousness is a disease, the greatest disease of the soul and playfulness the greatest health." Stay Gold Edge The name of the video/song, "Emperor's new clothes." I get it...cute, but, wrong. Are you glum? Marcus Tullius Cicero: Any man can make mistakes, but only an idiot persists in his error". Stay Gold Edge 19 https://people.com/movies/natasha-henstridge-harvey-weinstein-brett-ratner-sexual-harassment/ I supposed 18 on up is an adult. But, some behavior is not okay at any age. Also, I realize that sexual harassment is way different than nudity while playing a scene in a movie. HarveyManFredSin, I find your nom de plume or should it be nom de moviechat very curious and ,perhaps, telling. "It seems to me that the years between eighteen and twenty-eight are the hardest, psychologically. It’s then you realize this is make or break, you no longer have the excuse of youth, and it is time to become an adult – but you are not ready." Helen Mirren Stay Gold Edge 67. Has a nice kind of intensity. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm9475707/ 212. A great smile. https://www.todayonline.com/8days/squid-games-kim-joo-ryoung-aka-player-212-got-her-start-showbiz-after-coming-4th-beauty 240. Interesting https://www.cosmo.ph/entertainment/lee-yoo-mi-facts-trivia-squid-game240-a4436-20211023-lfrm They all did a good job. I hope there will be a new season. “One more round.” — Gi-hun Stay Gold Edge Well, if that was Sarah Giles' intention to make viewers "Unsettled," Sarah succeeded. "Bad music disturbs me, but wonderful music disturbs me even more." Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli Stay Gold Edge Ah, there it is. From your own response, "Dissonant sound." A definition I found states, "Dissonance is when two or more tones clash and create a harsh, unpleasant sound." Notice that last bit, "A harsh, unpleasant sound." Abigail: As it turns out, I'm capable of much unpleasantness. Stay Gold Edge PS I just viewed "Poor Things" by the same director. There were parts of the soundtrack that also had, "Dissonant sound." "They wanted me to be another Washington." This is an article about George Washington. But it does mention a quote from a distraught Napoleon. https://www.heritage.org/commentary/the-man-who-would-not-be-king "Every man is a quotation from all his ancestors." Ralph Waldo Emerson Stay Gold Edge To the OP, "Too good at what it does, so it will be cancelled." I totally agree with you. This show is good at what it does. And, it is uncomfortable to watch. Here is a show that is satirizing the virtual signaling PC warriors of the world done by a Hollywood crew. I love it. But, it is hard to watch because no one is good enough; ever. Of course the couple condescend to everyone without realizing what vacuous people they are. I feel sad for this pretentious couple. They are never going to be happy. I mean I can feel their pain. I enjoyed the part played by Dean Cain. Mr. Cain an unapologetic conservative, plays a character that Whitney does not like. Why? Because he has a "Police" flag on his truck. She makes assumptions immediately and does not even want to touch him. Of course, upon inspection, when he does not fit into her preconceived narrative she is dyspeptic all the more. She lives in a state of anger. PS There was a show called, "The Comeback." It was about a revamp of a popular TV show with a very popular star. The star played by the great Lisa Kudrow, has been experiencing a down period of her carrier. The show, at first, is very welcomed by the character played by Ms. Kudrow. But as the show progresses, Ms. Kudroew's character becomes marginalized and even ridiculed. It was very well done and hard to watch. "We are stripped bare by the curse of plenty." Winston Churchill Stay Gold Edge Pete314....Cold dude....I mean mean ...as in cruel. "Being mean just for being mean's sake isn't funny." Kaitlin Olson Stay Gold Edge I have never been to the SoCal/LA area. Still an affair between a 15 year old and a 25 year old. A ten year difference is beyond the Ken. I mean 18 or 19 and 15 would be a stretch. Again, the 15 year old was mature for his age and the 25 year old was immature. But that is a significant gap. It was and is an illegal act.. And dare I say it, immoral. Of course now a days you have people who want to change the term for pedophiles to MAPs. Wait a minute, I think I just went off to the deep end there. Alana: "You know I'm twenty-five, right? I can be your friend, but I can't be your girlfriend. That's illegal." Stay Gold Edge Yes. totally un-PC, thank God. “The greatest enemy of clear language is insincerity.” ― George Orwell Stay Gold Edge Very attractive on multiple levels. “She's a woman like few” ― Imran Shaikh Stay Gold Edge This classic tale raises question about self-deception, conformity, and obedience to authority. An Emperor of a city is fond of clothes. Two imposter weavers enter his city and tell him they will create a suit for him that would be invisible to stupid people. The weavers only pretend to weave the suit and present the fake suit to everyone in the city. Everyone who looks upon the suit is troubled by what they cannot see, and whether they are inadequate or not. Everyone lies and says they can see the suit. A child breaks everyone’s delusion by shouting out, “the Emperor is not wearing anything at all!” When each character within the story is confronted with the invisible suit, they are also confronted with a complex moral dilemma. Should they tell the truth (not being able to see the suit) and accept their own supposed inadequacy, or lie and save themselves from social ridicule? This dilemma combines multiple philosophically interesting issues. No, I am not calling anyone who disagrees with me as, "Stupid." That would be harsh, unnecessary and wrong. But I get the gist of the story. You believe there is a suit. I do not see the suit. We disagree. Stay happy and I'll see you at the movies. Stay Gold Edge Glad to help. We are all evolving. Trying to achieve nirvana. “Art can be used for intellectual evolution of man, not just the mere imitation of nature.” ― Soman Gouda, YOGI IN SUITS: Christopher Nolan and Vedanta Stay Gold Edge Why so belligerent? Just having a discussion. Nice talking with you. "You stand with the belligerent, the surly and the badly behaved until bad behavior is recognized for the language it is: the vocabulary of the deeply wounded and of those whose burdens are more than they can bear." Greg Boyle Stay Gold Edge After the "Bridge" we got a good look at Kang Sae-byeok, 67 and she looked good. Ji Yeong (Player 240) is very pretty. I am not into the jewelry in the nose thing. But, I could get past it! “Out there, I don’t stand a chance. I do in here.” -Player 322 Stay Gold Edge I somewhat agree. It is not as good as Dexter. But, it is good. Diet Dexter, I don't know. I think of it as a Dexter for the millennials. The main characters of both are in a constant state of self examination. The difference, Dexter knows he is bananas. Joe on "YOU" keeps believing he is only doing what needs to be done to get over some hump. But then everything will be fine and normal. Of course, au contraire, things get messier. I like them both. Yes, I am excited to see a new Dexter. "Sometimes, We Do Bad Things For The People We Love. It Doesn't Mean It's Right; It Means Love Is More Important." Stay Gold Edge Antarctica
