where is the problem ? Just imagine a movie about slavery in south usa with white actors. I couldn't watch it properly, and I honestly didn't understand what happened at all. didn't bother me at al, I thought it was really good. Great story, great acting, great mood and picture, very well done. That movie was very good. Fuck this generation of ticktockers The f** cringe scene with the gays, ffs, netflix is forcing gays everywhere. Anyone reading this can just watch the first episode and judge for themselves. Well of course I exaggerated a little bit, some non white characters can have flaws in the show. But the general tone is very strong, the white man, is the enemy : he is either a weak pedo, a powerful rapist, a public misogynist harasser, a killer on death row, or a vicar sequestrating an innocent woman in his cellar (whatever you say sorry that's the facts). But am sure it gets way worse after that episode, but I can't watch the rest, sorry am sick of it. "You've also glossed over how likeable Grief is despite his horrific crime, as well as how self-sacrificing, well-intentioned, and honourable the vicar is in the face of extremely bad circumstances." Please, the vicar attacked, pushed down the stairs, then sequestrated an innocent math teacher in his cellar, all that to protect a pedophile. And that's the best white man on the show, you just made my point. Every white character is systematically an asshole, and every other "minority" is the good one, it's just ridiculous. Same here, I though the moment he would have opened the door he would have realized he was dead. That would have match perfectly with the police discovering the holes in the basement. I thought the police would have found his body, and at the same time he would open the door. Would have been much better imho. https://moviechat.org/tt9151230/ I was also really disappointed with the movie, nothing ever happens, just contemplating a modern broken couple for an hour and a half. Absolutely empty, and the character of the mother is so horrible that it's hard to watch. No I thought it wasn't their child as the father also says it's not him. what do you expect from men that are told that masculinity is toxic ? protecting women is an old patriarchal stereotype, come on. I agree the first episode is border line maybe, but the rest is just great. Also the directing, light, is really good, doesn't feel like a cheap show. I Watched "better than us", it's ok but definitely not on the same level. I think the he committed suicide and the mall scene is just a flashback, otherwise the gunshot is pointless. I am honestly completely lost, just completely. It's way too complicated. 100% agree. Such a huge disappointment, am a big fan of Taika Waititi, but this is just a pain to watch.
