It is not that you outgrew it. The storytelling style that was Star Wars has been ruined by Disney. After Rogue One, I will not be watching the new star wars movie. Lucas never reused a single theme through all 6 of his movies. In Rogue One, they reused not less than 10 themes seen in the other movies. It has been long enough that I saw rogue one that I don't remember some of the many problems I saw at the time, but one that comes to mind was that the characters were unbelievable. And a minor note, Lucas used different space craft in almost every movie. From what I heard Disney shut out Lucas. And, there attempt at telling his story was feeble. Not interested anymore. Not going.
