Saw it and thought it was great. Fun movie. I totally disagree with you here. This time seems completely different. They have never killed Bond before AND we also have been introduced to a new 007. Can they back-peddle and just introduce a new iteration of Bond? Of course. Does that seem to be the intention at the current time? Absolutely not. No. Just a few movie-goers looking for a fun escapist ride from a summer flick versus looking for any kind of "art" as you kinda implied. I liked it also! Did you see it?? I assume not. I did and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it in my party. Good take that I agree with on pretty much all points although the cinematography did impact my enjoyment FWIW. 7/10 also. FWIW though I thought that the season finale was excellent. Just wonderful storytelling that successfully filled-in Negan's backstory. I have struggled with stretches of the season but hats-off to the writers and Jeffrey Dean Morgan on this one IMHO. The stormtroopers had no interest in the armor at all. They were solely after Grogu. FABULOUS. What an amazing use of the typically abbreviated run-time. You are spot-on here unsanesarah. Trek has never been about one single character. I do not understand this thread. The show is based on the comic which ran 2006-2012, which was just before the current progressive push began. Stormfront is a female (switched from male in the comics) who appears to have no redeeming qualities whatsoever. A-Train has been painted in a very unflattering light since the show began. Conversely the lead Boys are both white males. Also now Lamplighter is being spun positively while the Deep appears to be on some road to redemption (i.e., remains to be seen how sincere it is). Maybe I am am a simpleton but such supposed plotholes do not bother me at all. The overall pacing of the season has been great. I think others on this board feel the same way. She is over the top childish/selfish. Really hurts the stories. They just need to tone her down. Focus more on her relationship with her captain/mother in a more serious manner. Yes its a cartoon but it needs to be more grounded. I guess I am in the minority here. I am enjoying season 2 just the same. I think the set-up/writing has been great. I will respectfully disagree. He still saved a good part of that force. The manner in which he pursued his objective did not bother me. He went through a lot. I rank 1917 well ahead of Dunkirk (disjointed screenplay that could have been sooo much better to match the wonderful historical story) and marginally above Hacksaw. Thread of trolls here. I will disagree with that. IMHO the sequels are far better. Funnier for all ages, more engaging etc. Q! This thread makes no sense to me. Elements of Eps 4-6 weren't childish? The Ewoks? Some of the droid humor? Don't even get me started on Eps 1-3 from this perspective. I am not sure why the Mandalorian specifically gets beaten-up for its (supposed) for-children tilt.
