Yea, it was definitely the brother in the opening scene. Near the end of the movie Chris takes Jeremy's car to escape and we see it's the same car from the beginning of the movie. Also in the front seat you can see the mask Jeremy wore earlier to capture Andre Hayworth/Logan.
