For #3, I would think the ptsd/trauma alone would prevent me from ever setting foot in the house again. Have movers go in and clear it out. Stay in a hotel. I can’t imagine ever thinking staying there another night would be anything but further trauma. To number 4, they’d literally have no choice to believe it since the house just magically disappeared. There’s no way on Earth that humans could make that happen like that. Even the giant sink hole theory would at least leave remnants of some form. They also have the footage of the spirit coming downstairs and multiple eyewitnesses. A documentary would be lucrative in this case. This was easily the dumbest move by the family. As soon as they had Caroline back, they should’ve left and demolished the house. There’s no way on earth I’d stay there or have it on my conscious that I sold the home that was that haunted Wait, they aren’t in California?! They were LA Rams fans. Pretty solid response. To add on, Steven was reading the book about Reagan, insinuating they were trying to adapt to the new more conservative 80’s. But Steven wasn’t much older than her. So for him to be previously married would be a stretch too. I think it’s just a point in the script they missed. It’s only a movie. You mean where Teddy’s Dad held his head to the stove or how Chris Chambers was booted from school when he didn’t really steal the lunch money? And Ace’s gang would’ve likely killed one of them to ensure they got the reward money. Also, Gordy’s family forgot he existed. So yeah, different time, different problems. No more, no less. Well it’s a cult classic to me, so I wouldn’t necessarily change it but another sequel that explored the good vs evil Superman would’ve been great. A bad as Homelander version. Also the other hiker who was following them the whole way…he could’ve ran up and bashed the dudes head in with a rock while he slept. Or even slit his throat. I get it, he doesn’t really know the whole situation but he must’ve seen them bury the other girl so he knows things are bad. That’s right, I forgot about those guys. A bunch of loose ends really and no pay off. Why would you need a rebuttal for an obvious comedy with, as mentioned, the main character breaking the 4th wall multiple times. In this case, yes, “It’s a movie” works just fine. I’ve wondered the same thing about the cafe. People sitting there having coffee like it’s an average day. I’d be spending every last second of my time trying to figure out how to get out of there. What on earth could you be possibly talking about at the cafe and to have people serving you? How strange. Why would she always die? She died ONE TIME by a gunshot from Oswald. He stopped in his second chance with her. Then she lived to be old. There is zero proof she’d die again. Blows my mind that two actors who were probably paid well and on national TV would complain about their jobs like that. I can’t imagine an easier job acting with a damn puppet. Watch any episode and the jokes are lame setups non-stop. But for the actors, that sounds like an easy paycheck. It’s called representation. Why oh why does it bother you so much that you have to post this? Truly it’s not a big deal. It’s not forced diversity either. The characters didn’t change and honestly that shows right there that no matter the color of the skin, we are all the same underneath. So I agree with most of what you said but it isn’t unresolved. The very end is actually more interesting because she leaves everything behind yet again. Instead of facing her past and owning up to it, she just leaves. It’s not a great resolution but a realistic one. The first 30 minutes are intriguing but then you have the fake out dream sequence and the rest is just dialogue. Nothing ever happens till the very end. Completely dissapointing. Dude shut the fuck up. She’s a good actress, case closed. You’re seriously a fucking weirdo. An old thread but I thought the exact same thing. He was a sad sack who tried too hard and honestly how can he blame Rick? They all just wanted to get laid so Rick was doing what Rick does.
