Thats what i was confused about. They showed a bunch of fridges in a store, implying data was backed up on those. Why would it use all fridges even not attached to the house's network? Guess its one of those "it is what it is" situations.
nah, they showed it, all the methane gas building up under the town. i dont think in real life it would blow up the whole town, but i thought it was just a convenient plot device

I thought it was more, the bomb somehow brought the plane of the lodge to our world, and when the giant saw what happened, he did something with laura palmer? no idea but I think its like the season 1 finale, its an episode with lots of set up for later on in the season.
