Nice to meet you too :)
Phew..
Yeah, I misunderstood for comic effect. Let's go with that (please.. can we go with that? haha)
OH! Sorry haha. I read that.. completely wrong. Doi.
It is a rarity.
Yeah, it's entirely possible. I did watch it rather late and missed a bit of the beginning. That may have been quite an integral part of the film. It just seemed to be mostly about finding his daughter, and the lengths that he would go to find he, and the suffering that comes with that as a family unit (to me)
And It wasn't that I found it literally difficult to watch. It was just quite sad hah.
I'm not sure if it's because I'm not particularly religious myself, but I did not see that as being a massive part of the story, was it? I mean it could have been put in so the daughter could be considered more anti-establishment. Because her want to go against the grain was so deep. It was more about her, and how misguided she was.
Hollywood can get it right. It's seldom, but it happens. It was an okay film. Just okay.
Really? I thought her accent was pretty good. There were a couple of slips, but I thought it was pretty believable.
Interested to see where it will go! I just finished rewatching it also. Fresh in the ol' noggin.
Haha, oh no... thank you!
I'm not quite sure what for but thank you.
Holy crap, how did I not notice that it was Billy Elliot. I heh.. may or may not have been looking at Cillian Murphy's beautiful blues. I mean.. beautiful acting abilities.
Dreamy actors aside, yeah it was well executed.
Certainly enjoyed Retreat. It had a good build to it. Delicious delicious tension.
Have you seen Bleed for This? Based on Vinny "The Pazmanian Devil" Pazienza. Played by Miles Teller from Whiplash.
I'm not a massive Boxing movie fan (although I did kind of like The Fighter) but Bleed for This is an interesting watch.
Yeah, it wasn't bad. Never thought I could get so mad at Jennifer Connelly in a film. It's one of those films that has sort of been in my head a few days later. Had a similar effect not too dissimilar to watching Nocturnal Animals.
Oh, hmm..
American Pastoral
I found particularly sad. Personally, I found it hard to connect to that period of time in America and that state of mind, but it was an interesting window to peer into. The only problem I really had with it was a few accent slips on Ewan McGregors behalf, but they were sort of forgivable. Certainly something I wouldn't rewatch as it is a hefty one.
Free State of Jones
Had to.. haha stop this movie and finish the rest of it the next day. Was a pretty long (and akin to American Pastoral) quite a heavy watch. Pretty darn violent in certain scenes, which were executed really well (this pertaining mainly to the intro) but yeah.. it's a bit of an emotional roller coaster.
But hey, those are just my thoughts.
Also, I am a female woman, one might call a sister haha.
Yeah, I agree! I laughed quite a bit in it. The only part I was not a fan of was the Daddy/Daughter rapping dance scene. It seemed a little shoe-horned in. Also, so many movies have that kind of scene in it (and by 'many' I mean like.. 2 haha)
I watched the TV series on Netflix called 'The Keepers' Last week I rewatched a few films; Nightcrawler, Primer, As Above So Below, Worlds Greatest Dad.
New films I saw were American Pastoral and Free State of Jones.
