I don't believe Lauren Cohen really wanted to leave, she just wanted the same amount of money as Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus were getting. When negotiations weren't going her way...she found another show. They left the door open though - good for her that they did!
Andrew wanted more time with his family but agreed to the movies. It only made sense to write Danai out with a lead into the movies as well.
Actually Season 1, Episode 6 at the CDC....Edwin Jenner explains that "death" triggers "something" in the brain which gets the body up and moving. It also explains why you don't have to be bit to turn. Humans already have what turns you in your brain, therefore "All Are Infected". The show however never explains what this is or where it came from.
A lot of the "zombie" movies show it as a bite causing reanimation which is why so many people get confused with what the cause is. But the show has actually spelled it out and as long as someone who dies from a cause other than a bite still gets up and "walks"...then the pathogen causing the reanimation isn't correct.
I always viewed it as 2 different things: an infection from a bite and the "thing" already in the brain that gets activated upon death.
Maybe the bite infection has a cure that hasn't been discovered yet due to the collapse of society; we do know that the bite infection can be stopped by amputation.
Good topic!!
On the show...it's suppose to be a different hospital, HOWEVER, yep it is the same set!! Guess they thought none of us would remember.
I love this book and see all versions of it but this is my least favorite version. I hated the jumping around of the timeline and the person I was with was very confused as they weren't familiar with the story.
I felt the actress playing Amy looked and sounded older than the character is and they needed someone older playing Laurie, he looked 12 the whole way thru the movie. They didn't really build the characters or their relationships with each other.
That was the last episode, so yeah Morgan is the cliffhanger. But I figure if Glen can survive a fall from a dumpster without a scratch....Morgan can survive this.
The unfortunate issue with zombie shows is that once the zombies are no longer a threat - they know how to deal with them - then all that's left is a constant supply of bad people.
Cause I guess we all don't want to watch a show where everyone is just living peacefully.
Same thing happened with my LG tv. It didn't affect all LGs, just certain models. If LG would just send out an update for those few models, all would be well...
I can watch via Roku, but what's the point of a Smart tv if you still have to have attachments to do the smart part.
There's no time for romance in the zombie apocalypse! You got to get what you can when you can....people come and go so quickly, lol!!
I'm hoping that's a few episodes in with some type of story or something. But even Michonne & Rick just came out of the blue!
Yeah, I didn't believe that scene either.
The fact that the inmates can wander all thru the prison at they please without escort proves the fantasy of the show.
I think she was referring to the scene where the court is just kids (no adults) and the Judge asks the little boy and girl if they have an attorney. They were too young to even know what an attorney was. They were being treated as if they were adults.

Thank you!! Though I enjoyed the movie....I could not understand why the crawl space was built to let water "in" rather than "out" and why the drain pipe was so large that alligators could swim through it!!
It was either a part of the crawl space that was not concrete or a space under the porch. Not really sure. I questioned why they would have a drain pipe that drained into the house and was big enough for alligators to come through. It was confusing.
I enjoyed it. Though I questioned a few things, I can overlook them as the movie was entertaining. <spoiler>And the dog lived, who would of though that would happen, lol.</spoiler>
It did seem abrupt. I'm glad there was no jump scare ending (every movie does that), but it would be nice to see a jump forward at the hospital or something.
Whether or not the meat pies were the British couple, I'm not sure. HOWEVER, the pubic hair was part of the "love" ritual. Remember the scene after they see the bear in a cage...they show this huge banner with the ritual via the pictures. The woman picks a man, then cuts her pubic hair into his food and menstruate into his drink....it's a very messed up love potion.
When I saw Season 1, I was skeptical....but first season so I thought maybe it would get better Season 2. After the third episode of Season 2, I stopped watching. I could not connect with ANY of the characters and some I was wishing would die.
When I read that the Morgan character was moving over, I gave it another shot and actually liked it and the new characters and was glad that the annoying ones were killed off. I've never gone back to rewatch what I missed, it isn't necessary.
Agree... they should find their safe location and just stay there. If you happen upon others, than you need to make a decision. It seems to me that they are just out there looking for trouble.
I thought the episode was great, but hated Cersei's death. She deserved to get what was coming to her - I didn't care who did it, just that they could look her in the eye and say "payback"!!
Was it immortality? I thought he just wanted to make a beauty cream/product that will prevent cells from aging thus no one would look old.
But maybe I missed something....will have to rewatch.
I can't say I was unsatisfied but..... I really didn't like how she immediately felt the need to bite him in order to save him. She wasn't even sure what Mr. Ball Legs did or how it would affect him. They never have asked questions about Mr. Ball Legs....what is it? what's it purpose? The only info we have is that if the zombie person dies, the ball will die too. I would think the Knights of Serbia could answer those questions. Obviously Ramona's ball did something to the landlord guy which we didn't see; she said "Oh, I didn't know you could do that?" And then nothing more came from it until Joel and we still don't know.
I'm hoping it prevents him from turning...otherwise I think the show will sink. It's not needed for both of them to have turned.
