Yeah, he had a strong, memorable presence on the show---out of all the 3 priests, he was the toughest-looking one, and looked like the one most likely to kick someone's a** if they stepped to him the wrong way----that was the impression I always had of him, lol. Who cares? The show has some strong characters, and it's a good drama with equally good music. That's all that matters, lol. You should ask the men who write the show, lol. To the OP: Seriously---who even uses that out-of-date term anymore? "Battle-axes"? That being said, I like this show, even though the humor does take turn down to toilet humor a little too much. It's one of the better sitcoms around today, plus it's actually funny half the time, and it's a little more realistic. On top of that, it dosen't have the usual predictable sitcom structure which also makes it stand out and a little more memorable. The point is, the series was shot in Hawaii, which has a large Asian-American population. So it shouldn't have been that hard to find Asian-American (or Asian) actors for those roles. There would have been nothing "politically correct" about hiring actual AA actors to play actual AA characters. And,yeah,"yellowface" has always been an issue for some AA actors and AA people because it was and still is racist. Luke isn't perfect---he just cares about people, and he's frustrated because people around him are killed or hurt simply because some villain wants to get to him. He comes off as a guy with some definite issues,though--about his past and his present. Never saw him as a noble person, but just a dude who gives a damn about the people in the community he lives in, and they believe in him, appreciate him back, and even help him out sometimes (as is shown from time to time throughout the series.) I also like the heroes who give zero fcks about doing what they got to do----as long as it's for the right cause, though. mister babadook: Luke Cage is an excellent show--forget what the haters say.Watch and decide for yourself. I enjoyed every bit of it, especially because it didn't feel all long and drawn out at some point like Jessica Jones (which is equally good) near the end. Yeah, you should watch it, basically to see what Cage is all about, how he got to be who he is, and the interesting people and villains he's got to deal with. I'd definitely recommend it. I'm seeing Daredevil myself, and have also been impressed with how deep and dark it it (and it's action-packed of course.) To the OP: Who cares? If you want more nudity, go watch a porn film. That's what they're for. Plus every actress in a movie or show is not required or obligated to get nude just because you want her to. Get over yourself. It really is---I finally started watching it, and now I'm hooked on it---it's really deep and more than just another superhero show--I like it. Can't wait to finish S1. Whatever, you hateful, gossipy, whiny, troll. Who cares what you think? They just got engaged, btw. Relp: Honestly, there is more to a relationship than who's hotter than who, believe me. Hollywood is full of examples of quote unquote hot couples whom everybody thought looked so good together, and they still wound up breaking up or getting divorced, regardless. Point being, looks alone don't guarantee the strength or longetivity of a relationship---compatibility does. Relp: They'd just be pwt with bad teeth, lol. And British folks are also known for their horrible teeth too, lol. A "nobody"? Uh, she did have a life and a career before she even met the Prince. She's also divorced with a child. Her whole life isn't defined by meeting some rich English dude, than k you very much. lvrepoman: Oh,please---in a nutshell, it's you right wingers who always think you're so much better than everyone else, and like shoving your right-wing beliefs down everyone else's throat. And you're so damn close-minded, y'all can't stand anyone disagreeing with you, and if they do, the first thing you want to do is scream that they're liberal just because they disagree with you, or have a different view from you--or because they won't swallow your right wing bull****. Everything's so black and white with you conservatives,it's sickening. Plus you can't change some show or the whole damn world to fit your conservative beliefs, and conservatives don't a have a damn claim on being patriotic, either. Also, Hollywood isn't as liberal as you think it is---that's just a myth spread by the right wing--there are conservatives there, too, just like anywhere else. Bottom line---both liberals and conservatives live in this country, and there's more than enough damn room for everyone to have their opinions, period. Like I said, conservatives do not have a claim on having opinions or beliefs. This world would be boring as hell if everyone thought alike, and you know it. Also, Hawaii Five-O is a cop show, not a political show. Get the hell over yourself about that, please. Why? Billy Long was actually a pretty good film, which deserved more than its very limited release---it should have been promoted a little more. I think it's nice to see a film that deals with the aftermath of when soldiers come home and they still have to deal with the horrific psychological effects of having been through war. I got the impression from the trailer it would be that kind of film, which is good to hear. And some men are flat-out whores themselves. That is what's being alleged here. Unless the two women actually file charges against him, it still pretty much alleged. It couldn't have been made '70s style, since it was made in the '60s (which paved the way for the '70s more gritty and realistic style) but movies started looking and getting far more realistic in the '60s, with less of the Hollywood glamor--this movie in particular is somewhat of an example of that, even though it's a straight-up Hollywood film.
