well, i have to disagree as well, pleasence was right for "you only live twice", telly savalas for "on her majesty's secret service" and gray in "diamonds are forever", actually i like all actors who played blofeld a lot, so i think it's perfect, i guess savalas had played mostly bad guys at that point before the tv series "kojak" in the 1970s. in the beginning was the actor, in the last season i believe, of the 1960s british cult series "the avengers", quite a few stars from that series have had roles in the bond franchise (honor blackman, diana rigg, patrick macnee). someone mentioned the voice of blofeld in the opening of "for your eyes only" was the actor from this movie, i now hear how it resembles. the "i'm glad we got that out of the way" bit was great, bond telling another man "i love you". i felt the volcano bit happened so soon, thought it was just towards the end of the movie. notice it's so odd how m and moneypenny has the final bit of the movie, that is usually bond with the bond girl. πŸ•΄ πŸŒ… 🎎 πŸš£β€ πŸŒ‹ πŸšƒ ⛳️ 🦈 πŸš€ 🌏 🐈 🚁 β›° πŸ›Ά 🀺 πŸŒ„ πŸ•΅οΈβ€ spring break skiing, you dressed like an easter bunny, painting my brain like an easter egg, mesmerized by your glow a halo in the sky, your ample hills cover the weather sight, your shirt about to burst causing avalanche, on your curves im about to crash down, but this chick using warm touch, as i reached the bottom summer had come. man it's nasty how the great end credits with its song and photos gets cut when running on the stations where i view this, speaking of the end though, spoiler follows here, but what if this had a real dark ending as they crash into the statue of liberty, i wonder if some movie goers in 1985 worried about that. how weird it looks for a movie to have "guest stars" in the opening credits, and i just realised how both this and "christmas vacation" starts off animated, and the kissing bit of audrey from the male host was also weird, as they travel through europe the british encounters are great, like the major from "fawlty towers" almost apologetic clark crashed into him, and eric idle's line "it's just a leg, i've got another one", and ellen's reaction was great when that horrible thing happens to him "it's just a flesh wound, honestly, sorry to bother you but you haven't seen a bike around, have you?", but one bit i never got was how it looks like idle is on the run as he drops down the water when the police appears, how about that chase and idle had an idea for another vacation movie in the 1980s, man that would've been something, and by the way, idle also appears in "national lampoons christmas vacation 2 cousin eddie's island adventure", hey, it's still better than the 2014 "vacation" movie that i consider the worst movie i've ever seen, "vegas vacation" (1997) was at least watchable. okey, funniest scene in this is when clark can't turn left and gets stuck in the roundabout. πŸ›© 😱 πŸ—½ πŸ—Ό 🐩 πŸ‘’ πŸš™ πŸ›Ž 🏨 πŸ›€ 🌍 πŸ›€ πŸšƒ 🎧 🚞 theres times, moneypenny was never funnier, the lip thing she does reminded of stewie in "family guy" after touching brian's mouth, nasty how they got rid of that actress after 1985 so there wouldn't be an age gap between her and the new bond, and the 1989 movie was so violent they had to raise the age limit, i quit watching after 1985, john glen pretty much ruined the franchise for me. neat how the opening credits was a throwback to the earlier bond flicks, one is honor blackman, both her and diana rigg left the cult series "the avengers" to star with bond, and the male star from the series joined bond in "a view to a kill". blofeld's henchmen crashing into trees looked hilarious. πŸŽ„ ❄️ β›· 🚑 🚠 🚟 πŸ‚ 🌨 powerful machine home fed, fellow country man hope you find distant path, in i'll just throw in five that comes to mind, "the troublemakers", "christmas flintstone", "ebenezer", "christmas vacation", "it's a wonderful life". after expecting this to be a bad santa sort of movie with a sarcastic leading role i was really surprised it seemed strictly a children's movie, and i had no idea the end credits featured a tune from ray charles christmas album, i know they used the title track in "christmas vacation", it's so weird how rare that album has become considering it's quality and these references, remarkable how packed this flick is with recognisable actors in about every little role, and i found out apparently ed asner starred in two christmas movies in the same year as i always knew him from "christmas vacation 2: cousin eddie's island adventure", with a bit more suiting for a mature audience if it weren't that bad, i keep coming across threads about mary steenburgen's voice in movies she stars in, similar to anne hedgeworth and former cnn newsreader natalie allen (makes my head spin they replaced her with a dude), i always thought steenburgen would suit great in radio dramas, this movie includes one of those product placements as little hiding as possibly, big shot of it right at the camera from one angle to another. πŸŽ…πŸ» πŸŽ„ ⛄️ holiday honey stays around, on high days never lets me down, you sparkle and the outfits you put on, reveals actor from the "married with children" episode where al bundy hooked up with a happy guy and got fed, and "married with children" used footage from the first vacation movie in each opening. as this starts out animated, i wonder if first time you watch this think it'll be that kind of movie, boy does the opening with the road look bleak right after that, a lot of over the top in the beginning, the car bit, him coming out of the garage wearing a horror movie mask with a chainsaw, funny i never noticed the modern neighbour snobs have no christmas decoration at all. it's hard to pick a favorite scene because there are so many great parts, but one highlight is clark at the store and encounters mary, i've started to appreciate and notice chase's physical humour more after learning he was inspired by jerry lewis. this should air every christmas, i've been annoyed some years when it haven't aired over here (sweden). πŸŽ„πŸΏπŸŽ… πŸ“Ώ 🏠 ❄️ πŸ— 🍽 πŸ₯£ rock n roll dream, youre so sweet to me, having fun and nice, morning i awake, chilly and you wont give me the time of day, but im doing alright, ill see you in my dream again tonight. funniest scene is when the nice old grandma suddenly starts firing at bond's bullet safe car, what is her story, who the heck is she and what is she doing there, she isn't seen before or after that scene. the speeded up bits that i heard was some new technology at the time looks weird, if i didn't know the role of auric goldfinger was dubbed i wouldn't have noticed it, his voice sound a bit different when at the end he says "goodbye mr. bond", by the way, doesn't goldfinger remind a bit of john candy, most if not all those guys goldfinger is having a meeting with sound very angry, and the car one of them ended up in does really look out of place in the junk yard, funny how oddjob drives away in a trashier one, i just saw a bond documentary on cnn where they talk about that car getting destroyed. notice how upcoming scenes are being shown in the opening credits. πŸ•΅οΈβ€ β›± 🎩 ⛳️ πŸŒοΈβ€ πŸ›© πŸ•΄ from east and west, closed in madeleine and ryanne, i got trapped between, ryannes long legs and madeleines to die in the beginning of many of connery's movies, this, you only live twice, never say never again. as the guy from spectre had to leave the chess in a hurry, i expected him to lose, the following scene where he appears with the wavy camera i felt a bit dizzy. early appearance for the later re occurring gogol actor, this contains some great humour, behave, old case. someone pointed at how in these earliest flicks the bond tune could break out with him just walking around, later movies used only in action sequences. i missed that bond has a scar. the bond girl disappears for a long time from the movie after the beginning. i agree that rosa klebb is unintentionally funny. look at the end credits, she comes surprisingly high up, even before grant (robert shaw). πŸ•΅ πŸšƒ 🚞 πŸš† 🚁 🚀 in cold weather with magic walked, touch of hand soft n warm, didnt notice the chicks around, as you stayed mornin n night, changed outfit from baggy to tight, lower body skirt mould, upper body movie feels so much all over the place. weird seeing sylvester stallone's name in the end credits. one of the crooks was in the 1980s remake episode of the twilight zone "a game of pool". arnold getting attacked after the line "you got a light buddy" reminded of the scene in crocodile dundee "that's not a knife. that's a knife" as well as him sleeping on the floor. the shaky camera when visiting devito in jail was a bit distracting. funny how the cassette tape looked so dated and out of place in the luxury car. this movie had a pretty great soundtrack, reminded a bit of the soundtrack to the movie "48 hrs". funny when the guy walks in the bathroom as the twins are hugging. i liked arnold's t shirt. "dickhead. i'll be back". πŸ‘ΆπŸ‘Ά lets rock n roll, under the moon shine your hair of gold, eyes so sharp, warm and hit like campfire sparks, as spirit rise like a balloon, turned bright as you outshine the moon. the lack of previous casts just adds to why i like this the least, a lot of negative posts on this board, the second movie was darker than the first, but that seem light compared to this, all comedy is gone, taggart is really missing, it's explained he's retired, but i read he was in his thirties or something in the first movie from 1984, and the amusement park becomes tiresome and a weird place to shoot a violent movie, i felt like fast forwarding, it can get suspenseful though, i won't reveal anything, but you can tell right away a certain person will turn out to be a bad guy. the name of the plant rosewood has in his office sounds funny, i've never heard of that before, rosewood doesn't have as big part here as the previous movies neither, besides him a few others from previous movies return, like serge, his voice sounded a bit different here though and the scene felt overlong and pointless. strange i never saw who shot john saxon. 🎑 🎒 🎠 heart was ready to rock n roll, but under the moon found you gone, night turned empty and cold, without your sunlight and warmth, and my heart played a violin song. notice in the office scene with the blowing fan you can tell by that the editing is off as it doesn't match. did anyone notice that ronny cox is credited before john ashton, both in the opening and end credits, that is so strange since ronny cox only appear briefly at the beginning and end of the movie while john ashton is about on every frame through the entire movie. sure are a lot of topics on this board about axel's jacket, sylvester stallone and a fourth movie. how annoying was the role of harold anyway, it felt so good when the mayor put him in place at the end. the first beverly hills cop movie is much more entertaining and light while this takes a darker more brutal turn, they both have amazing soundtracks though, and a reoccurring theme are people hanging from trucks, also much of this seem to be just goofing and filling shooting time. πŸŒ‡ πŸš” 🚚 🌴 πŸŒ† could eat you alive, put canadian bacon aside, feel like thanksgiving, since your warm home visit, fill my spirit youre my gasoline, like coffee for my sense, after a quick rush dinner came to an end. a fourth movie would be awesome, i love sequels, loathe remakes. when the villain gets cake all over his face is a really funny shot, notice you never see what happens to the guy running from the police after jumping out of the truck in the beginning of the movie, that was a bit odd, another thing you react to is the scene in the club where foley walks up and starts messing with a guy pointing the rifle right at him. i had just watched the third beverly hills cop movie before this and realise taggart really is missing in that, the guy replacing him is friendly toward foley just like rosewood and taggart almost constantly ticked off leaves something missing, if they make a fourth they really need to bring taggart back then. i also realise all three movies have the pattern of someone close to foley getting killed or injured and him travelling from detroit to seek revenge. πŸš” 🍌 πŸŒ† powers of your eyes, freaks me out, and your wild smile, like a circus clown, with grace n charmin expertise, totally hooked on your party. what in the world... did i just watch a romantic comedy about a couple of cheaters? i read afterwards that this was controversial in 1939 for that reason, are you suppose to get engaged in these people? and they both comes off as obnoxious snobs, though not so much the woman as the french man. the scene changes looks like that of a tv movie breaking for commercial, at one point it looked like they were standing in a studio when outside, notice how the people passing by doesn't look to match in sizes with the stars. i thought the waiter reminded of wayne newton, i think i recognise the older actress from playing the gypsy in "the wolf man" starring lon chaney jr. where i got this it was strangely enough rated from age 12, i can't see why. πŸŽ₯ πŸ“½ 🎞 looked like at dry painting through night, after a while came alive, leaned your head to the side, as you opened and wet your mouth, with fair charm had me spellbound. oh man why did they dress up jane fonda like a granny, i can hardly see her underneath that hat and giant glasses, i can't believe this is the same woman that played barbarella. i wonder if the boss was an inspiration to marcy's boss in the episode of "married with children" where they take a flight after meeting a fortune telling lady. i'm surprised this was rated from age 15, this was a pretty light, harmless, mild movie, i got a feeling if they remade this there wouldn't be anything left of their boss man. the painting on the wall looked like charlton heston. i thought all three leading ladies in this did a great job, funny bit when the guy opens the door and sees the boss hanging from the roof, the dream sequences where they get even with the boss was just plain weird, the best was dolly parton's dream where she turns the table and harasses the boss, like when she presses his head to her boobs... yeah... poor guy😒 πŸ˜„ πŸ•˜ since your arabian heat left a week, lack of energy, slower heartbeat, with seductive eye n pouting lips, walked back through my door, brought fire to chilly honky home. really? try "foreign correspondent"... my favorite hitchcock movies are the ones he made in america during the 1950s, 60s, as "psycho", "the birds", "vertigo", but i like some of his earlier too like "strangers on a train", "the lady vanishes", "lifeboat", "rope". some odd camera shots in this, and the strings can get a bit much, notice how the opening credits are set like the end credits usually look, i guess gregory peck plays a bit of a similar role as in "to kill a mockingbird", by the way, i thought many of the co players looked too much alike which made me confuse them with one and other and made it harder to follow the story. πŸŽ₯ πŸ“½ 🎞 i was frozen like a statue, but like a dog my jaw dropped began to drool, as your set with laser sharp beams, hypnotised and i couldnt leave, as youre pulling the leash, gave me a treat, couldnt help but become a doggy. sure do, this is fascinating, i don't watch many new shows, almost none, but this is something else, i've seen almost every episode of the first season, took a while before my version (swedish) of the history channel put on season 2, and when they did it seems a bit messed up, like first airs episode 9, then episode 12, and now they've started airing season 1 again. i hope this will run for more seasons. apparently shatner is involved in more ways than just hosting, another unexplained thing he's starred in, seeing a man on the wing of the plane "there is a man out there" - twilight zone. πŸ“Ί since you returned for a bit, realised what ive missed, as your playful charm raise spirit, good old time before once again you had to leave. well i'm a sucker for classics and the 1940s one, "the wolf man", starring lon chaney jr will probably always be my favorite. this has a shocker ending. okey, spoiler straight off here, so she was the wolf nicholson hit in the beginning? you know a werewolf movie is never gonna end happy, but man did i want this guy to succeed, i don't know why i hadn't checked this out before, i love werewolf movies, what neat way to show the title in the opening right there, and the photography is beautiful right from the beginning when nicholson comes down driving his volvo, also starts off with such a shocker. i was afraid at first as i thought he was some sleazy cheater and that i wouldn't care what happened to this guy, but can you believe that kid took both his job and his wife, then he encounters this stone cold woman with the equally sour daddy boss, as it turns out they're following the 1940s formula as you really have empathy for the wolf man, this was always my favorite of the classic monsters because he was just a regular joe who couldn't help what happened to him, this version doesn't grow all hairy, and he looks a lot like the dean stockwell werewolf, i couldn't look at the deer scene, it is a bit overlong though and you sigh a lot after the first hour, and the background music is a bit off, i thought it was my cellphone, and notice real odd camera work at one point, the screwing scene seemed out of place. when spader runs through the gate looks unintentionally funny, the last 15 minutes goes completely off the handle and you just laugh and you're left wondering, why didn't she play the werewolf from the start. check out about 20 minutes into the movie, it looks like they're driving backwards. 🐺 πŸŒ• solar energy, since visited by fairest lady, glare blue like the sea, hair shining, gives me heavenly vibe, since you started to come by every night. spot on, anything with jim carrey from the 1990s is sure fun, and the cable guy is a riot, his "friend" role though is like 90 minutes of playing an off putting prick, but no matter how off putting the guy in the restaurant dating his girl was, he did not deserve what happened to him in that bathroom, jack black interacting with carrey is a lot of fun, and what a tiny part charles napier has, playing a police among the odd group of friends the cable guy has gathered, the hot girl was probably someone the cable guy had just set up to get a photograph of the friend with to use to hold over him. during the fight at the arena i thought the guys running in with weaponry were actually there to intervene. if you only watch carrey's later corny movies with the exception of "dumb and dumber to", you wouldn't know what a riot he was during the mid to late 1990s in movies like this, "ace ventura", "dumb and dumber", "the mask", "me, myself and irene" to then begin starring in family friendly romantic comedies. kind of took the same turn as eddie murphy's career i guess. πŸ“Ί πŸ“‘ turned off charm, act like british snob, no longer cheering me up, this sucks, miss smile and playfulness, longing for yesterday. what a captivating flick with an awesome final, the end credits make it look like part of some cop tv series though, the background music is sometimes distracting, i remember clint eastwood once saying in an interview background music sometime can be seen as a weakness if it's being overused, like you need to lean on it, i mean just look at the daytime soap operas. when he sits alone quiet and still in the car you just knew someone would pop up in the back seat, that is such a common theme in movies. πŸš“ average clothes, cant stop luscious forms, just like my mind about to explode as they mould, mesmerized as hair you throw, like in wild weather my senses blow. probably the outrageous bits with the average looking tourist woman that transforms. many topics on this board with the word dream in it. to me this was just too weird of an action flick to get into, i like the sort of similar "the running man" better, the drama with melina felt so out of place during all the action surrounding the movie. this was the only time i've seen the boss from "beverly hills cop" play a villain, funny to see a cameo by the sheriff from "national lampoons vacation". neat how the background during the opening credits looks like cinema screen curtains, and what an hilarious opening line "you're dreaming, is it about mars". i was caught off guard a bit by the constant vulgar language, this would be a problem airing on american television stations i guess, in my country (sweden) anything goes, i mean you wouldn't believe it, can't have the tv on when you got company. i thought sharon stone would play the good leading lady. πŸŽ₯ πŸ“½ 🎞 my mind gone, as you come along, soft and sweet, knocked down by your boobies, blessed built hair of gold, i acted like a dope, before i knew it you were gone. the jon lovitz bit is true, also funny how the original criswell sounds similar to cnn's paula newton, this is not the only post about the lovitz bit on this board. i guess edward d wood jr wouldn't have been as catchy of a title, speaking of catchy, what a great soundtrack, i've never seen opening credits on tombstones before. the costumes review bit reminded of the "family guy" lincoln bit. there are several topics about this being tim burton's greatest movie and underrated and forgotten, i've only seen it air on television once. the dvd of this has loads of bonus material. orson welles really appears dubbed. πŸ§› bela, i mean landau, moves great with the octopus πŸ™. i have actually enjoyed some real edward d wood jr movies, like "night of the ghouls" featured in elvira's midnight madness collection. weird the movie features the real bela lugosi as well, movies from the time this takes place would never accept the kind of language found in the dialogue of this movie. the "could you please keep it down" line from sarah jessica parker bit was funny, by the way, an alternative movie poster has her removed from it. ed wood: "i need transvestites", bela lugosi: "eddie... what kind of a movie is this?". πŸŽ₯ πŸ“½ 🎞 🎬 this mean town cant escape from, leavin me out in chilly cold, all matchin lost souls, shinin through behind phony act put on, this messed up land i resort,
