You're right--there's a rising trend of this nowadays. "Against the norm" has become trendy. I think you're right--many are just trolls who jumped on the bandwagon. The "purists" are mostly religious who take the bible too literally, from what I understand. Now, I believe in God but I don't subscribe to the bible and I CERTAINLY don't believe in a flat earth. There are some conspiracy theories out there that I entertain but nothing as crazy as this flat earth nonsense. Any conspiracies that I entertain are things that have actual evidence out there to support a POSSIBILITY but I still don't hold onto any of them 100%. There are also "Mandela Effect" people out there and while I'm also one of those who remember it as BerenstEin Bears, I'm sure there is a perfectly logical explanation for that memory fallacy. Some people actually BELIEVE in it, though. But, that's another topic for another thread. These flat earthers, though, are different. At least Mandela Effect has MILLIONS of people who can attest to one or two of some of those listed examples--flat earth involves throwing all logic and hundreds of years of science right out the window....that's simply insane. You're right, though--many are just trolls. The purists? They...can't be helped. They're too far gone. That's the point. It's a typical joke people make to make fun of flat earthers. Someone says it on every topic I've found regarding flat earth. I've heard that a flat earther actually said that once and people used that quote as a joke ever since, LOL! LOL! I heard that ironic joke before. That's a favorite among Youtube comments. :P This place wouldn't feel like IMDB without some of that sarcastic spice. Good to know some of you are keeping that torch lit. ;) PS: I've taken a look at some of your posting history here--nice work. Truly. You're my kind of poster. You ARE a sarcastic d!ck, but... I dig it. ;) Well, I THINK it's valid to ASSUME that you are being a SARCASTIC d!ck. ;) I hope it's mostly Monster of the Week. I'm that weird kind of X-Files fan that PREFERS the Monster of the Week episodes over the Mythology. I'm sick of the Mythology, to be honest. Besides, three quarters of the show is comprised of Monster of the Week episodes. I hope we get another of the same quality as the Weremonster episode. That one was easily as good as the likes of Bad Blood and other great comedy episodes. PC is the death of any and all common sense. As ludicrous as this complaint from the SJW's is (and yes, it's fckin ludicrous)--it's also devoid of any semblance of understanding of reality. I mean--did they REALLY expect Hollywood to put a woman in a movie like this and include armpit hair? They HONESTLY thought that such a thing would ever be permitted? It's one thing to have beliefs and a particular set of values but if you can't even operate within the confines of reality then you've got problems that go far beyond wanting armpit hair on women in movies. THAT is my issue with the SJW's complaining about this--they are totally whacked out of their minds and have no understanding of reality, it seems. Let's use another example: I miss rock--I grew up with it. What constitutes as rock nowadays is not rock in my eyes. Having said that, I know better than to just EXPECT the music industry to ever go back to those days. Why? Because the reality of the situation is that the music industry (much like the movie industry) caters to "the kidz" and they don't know/understand kind of music we "old" folks grew up with. See, THAT is a good example: I'd LOVE to see true rock and metal back but know that it will never happen. That's an example of WANTING something to be a certain way while living within the confines of reality enough to know the limitations of such a thing ever happening. SJW's don't think like this--they just EXPECT the entire world to conform to their own (warped) views. Yeah, now visualize Wonder Woman with armpit hair (Like the SJW's wanted her to have). ;) Just count your blessings that Joel Shumacher didn't get ahold of Batfleck's wardrobe. O_o You know your cinematic universe has problems when Batman has bigger boobs than Wonder Woman. O_o Don't forget Owl Man! It looks exactly like how the filmmakers made it: a jumbled up mess that really doesn't know WHAT it wants to be. Also, the film feels decidedly...less epic than it should feel...or is it just me? Indeed, Cat. :D I've referred several of my original buddies from IMDB here and I'm trying to recruit some others from other sites. Hopefully this place will pick up more. This really is the best IMDB replacement, I think. Shame it's getting less attention than that free forums crap. Exactly. Do...or do not...this is no "try". But, yeah--they had three films thus far, all with their A-list characters, and none of them hit as hard as they should in ANY sense. I can't wait to see how he handles Wonder Woman and Justice League. Nice to meet you, too! I love how this place recaptured many of the good aspects of IMDB while flushing the turds down the toilet at the same time. This feels more like "IMDB as it should have been". 😃 Yeah, I just saw his post, too, LOL! That guy's the best--no one thrashed this turd better than him. LOL! Bill, you made it here! I don't think we ever spoke on IMDB, but I've always loved your material--you gave the DCCU a beating better than any of us. I love your work, dude.
