I had thought about that when Jack was first introduced. He is so popular with fans though even if that was the original idea for his character the producers might want to re think that story line for him. I also think that his archangel grace might be needed to open the rift. It might be that if he gives up all of his "grace" Jack might end up getting to be a "real" boy.
Good catch!

I agree about Berens. He hasn't been the same under Dabb. If this was the big launch for the spin off I would have to give it a fail. I hope that SPN, CW and WB aren't really going to hang their hat on this idea as the replacement for the mother ship. That just makes me sad.
Unfortunately the actress was pretty weak. She didn't really sell her character very well. And of course the writing was surprisingly bad for a Berens script.
I agree...a very poor choice..

I think Jodi is going to be the Giles character and Claire is going to be the Buffy type leader of the pack of "special" girls. For some reason Singer and Dabb think Kathryn is a fan favorite.
I agree about Alex. I liked her from the start.
Is the spinoff getting any love in the fandom? I haven't seen a lot of buzz about it other than from the producers and a few online fanmags. Even the J's haven't promoted it much (if at all) at conventions or in interviews.
I still think they want to get to 300 and Jared keeps asking fans to support the show so they get picked up for 14. That being said I don't think they want to do full seasons after this one. Jared has said a few times now that he and Jensen would be on board for a Netflix type series of 4-6 eps. There are negotiations going on supposedly and with the surprisingly good ratings so far they may just get what they want.

For Justice J
Jensen getting a gigantic tattoo on his arm seemed to be a big signal that the show is winding down. It kind of looks like 300 might be it.
According to the EW article
Castiel and Lucifer strike a deal that involves Jack. So Jacks other two Dad's take over his upbringing I guess
I'm sure that something will happen and Jack will vere to the darkside. His belief in what the Winchesters are selling or Castiel not being the Father/Protector he was expecting or "hearing" his real father will shift his allegiance to evil. Forever? Probably not. I am sensing a huge sacrifice from Jack to protect those he thinks he loves (good or bad) or to keep Riftworld and Realworld from colliding.
I was not on board with a new character being elevated to recurring star status on the show. It was a big risk to hang the success of the entire season (and show really) on the performance and acceptance of Alexander Calvert's talent. Honestly I think he did a pretty good job. He seemed to have pretty good chemistry with all the other actors. I just hope that the other writers don't play his naivety too much for laughs.
I think it was Yockey or maybe Berens that tweeted "back isn't the same as alive". I thought that was kind of ominous sounding.
10 1/2 hours for me.
I'm loving all the media hype for Supernatural this fall. Well actually starting with SDCC. And Jared is on Jimmy Kimmel tonight. They all seem very stoked about S13 don't they?
If Castiel/Crowley made the Winchesters redundant fasten your seatbelt Jack is going to turn them into sitcom nannies.
Our station covered the tragedy in Las Vegas as well. So sad!
Jensen was charming as ever.
Jensen on Kelly and Ryan.
