I completely disagree. I think the two episodes of the trial were shot very well with great suspense and twists. I thought the Cuban drug connection bringing Kevin into the business was well done too. John's mental torture was a thing of brilliance and the finale still has me talking about what Sally said to her two bad boys. Oh, and I love the ending with Nolan.....leaving it up to your imagination was very appropriate. And of course, how can you tell me you did not enjoy seeing Danny dialog with John those last two episodes? Are you kidding me? I agree, season 3 had some faults- Ozzy storyline being a huge one, but I'm cutting them slack because they did not expect to only have 3 seasons. I think the reduction of episodes made some things a bit disjointed in season 3, but to me, the big picture was kept intact- the Rayburn family. As for Obannon not testifying.....that is the usual for defendants who have sordid pasts. Their resume would look so bad to the jury they would not believe anything he says. Yes, the global warming story line was somewhat comical, but you get the picture. They wanted to hurt Sally in some way, so they made this one up. Yes, it was not realistic, but sometimes you have to go with the flow to get the jist of what it was trying to accomplish, and that was......TO PUNISH SALLY FOR ALL OF HER SINS TOO! I hear you, and your objection is very reasonable. I guess the writers decided to go with the "shock, surprise" factor by letting us see her alive with Nora making a phone call like that. I have to admit, it worked for me. You are most welcome. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did (closing my eyes). Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as we all know. I thought using WW 1 as the backdrop was pretty cool, and for me, after watching Genius (Albert Einstein) this past week, which happened to discuss the German scientist who created the deadly poison gas that killed many allies during that war ......... it was kind of creepy in an ironic way to see this played out here in WW. I'm a history buff, so maybe that part perked my interest even more than the average movie viewer. Cheers. I understand Brienne of Tarth (from the Game of Thrones) was their second choice. J/k lol This is not my favorite genre, but I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Great summer time fun. I completely disagree. I loved EVERYTHING about her, especially the way she talks. The chemistry she had with Pine was AWESOME too. Oh, and of course, she is hot, hot, hotttttttttt. That is awesome......for you! I got my big reward watching the Leftovers finale this past Sunday. I'm still talking and thinking about that. As for the Americans, I agree, no big moment they left us with, but you know something.....I appreciate that show so much for being unique, that I didn't need a cliffhanger or big moment at the end like most shows try to give you. I am so enraptured with the characters and all the possibilities for the final season, I am one fat cat not missing a meal with that show. So, it looks like I got much more out of the Americans and you are getting much more out of Fargo. Lol Kevin died how many times? Does that sound like an active imagination to you? It's true, Kevin was not Jesus, but supernatural powers were given to him, don't you think? I don't think the show was completely debunking religion because the possibility of people being taken away (rapture) is promoted as Biblical from some Christian Protestants as shown in the tv series, Left Behind. The show did not promote a scientific explanation over a religious explanation of the departure because there was no proof showing that. The dude who played God, killed someone on the ship, and then was eaten up by a lion doesn't in any way debunk the existence of God, so I don't know where you came up with that one. But I do agree, the entire show was about how the LEFTOVERS were coping with very unusual circumstances that entered into their lives. As you could see, for the most part, not very well. But it appeared to me at the end all of the main characters were moving on with their lives.......finally (7years later). It was inferred she was going to take her life and originally even the writers planned on this, but they changed their mind when filming the last episode. I'm not surprised because I didn't see Laurie in the previous episode in that afterlife that was only for DEAD people. So, since I didn't see Laurie, I assumed she was still alive. I think they made the right call. Compared to other people, the deck of cards she was given (the departure) wasn't so bad, was it? Now Nora is another matter. I am glad there are people enjoying this season because I surely am not. It is too bizarre for my liking. I know Fargo can be a bit weird, but this season seems to me to be over the top. I think I may bail on it. Keep enjoying the ride fellows. I may check back to see how you liked the ending. Cheers. 100% agree with your words, well said. So, it appears the conversation today is about- Was Nora lying to Kevin and making that entire story up about her going to that other reality? Honestly, I thought Nora chickened out and had second thoughts and was getting up out of that pod. It appeared like she began yelling "stop" or something similar while GETTING UP! So, my first thought was - this never happened. However, like you, I can accept either interpretation because the end justifies the means I suppose. But I am interested in reading what other people think about this. Great great finale. Actually it appeared to me this was a four part finale (last 4 episodes). Amen to that! Actually, I don't think they will go down that dark road either but I'm starting to wonder if Philip will FORCE his kids to move to The mother land, although Paige would probably have no problem with that. Btw, when I said Oleg would hook up with Martha, I said it with tongue in cheek, but you have to admit, that would make for a great conclusion for Martha. Oleg is a nice looking Russian man who Martha seems attracted to. Martha is a horny thing so while not the easiest on the eyes, when the lights are off, she may be more than what Oleg could handle. Lol I agree, the final season should be awesome with any number of possibilitites. I like to speculate, so I'm thinking Tuan hooks up with Paige, since Liz feels Tuan needs a partner. Henry gets wind that his parents are Russian spies so not to be separated from his first love, Chris, he tells Stan. Stan goes to arrest Phil and Liz but gets jumped and killed by his new Russian girlfriend. Liz still has Russian blood running through her, unlike Phil, so they get into an argument, and Phil kills her (Liz). Oh yeah, Oleg fills a void left by Nina's death, runs to Martha who as we know, has a thing for Russian men. How did I do? I think the sole criteria was just DEAD people. Manner or method irrelevant. I believe only dead people were in the afterlife. I think it is telling Laurie wasn't there. (She ain't dead.) I believe one can make a strong argument saying the flood was stopped when Kevin nuked the afterlife. We know the flood was in process when Sr woke up his son because the pond was gone due to the heavy rains and flooding and then of course Sr goes on top of the roof to get a birds eye view. So we know the flood was real. I don't think it was a coincidence that after the nukes were dropped, Jr returns to the real world, and now the flood has abated. I agree though - Jr came back from the afterlife a changed man. He now was going to live his life in this world and make the most of whatever he has left and not worry about circumstances beyond his control. He nuked it so it would no longer be an option for him. I'm sure his first thing on his mind (Now what?) is to find Nora and patch that up. Good catch on Laurie not being there in the afterlife. I think you may be right based on that observation. Laurie probably changed her mind after all and I'm expecting to see both her and Nora in the finale. 100% agree- Party, and Kevin's dialog was totally awesome! Classic! Nice post. I see this show now trying to give a life lesson on dealing with unfortunate circumstances that cross your path. Most of these people crumbled under that weight, but as we have seen, Matt and Kevin are coming out of it much stronger and wiser and now ready to live their short life to the fullest and quit having pity parties or breakdowns or maybe even trying to explain things beyond their control or knowledge. Of course Matt doesn't have much time left but even he now can relax and quit pretending to be someone he is not or a fake. Kevin now realizes he fucked up with Nora so I'm thinking he will be looking to right that wrong somehow.
