I just want a blocking function! I was asking for that several times already. Nah, I immediately replaced IMDb with MovieChat to cope with the grief. But you know what was (and is) a bad habit: Watching a movie and first thing after the credits start rolling is going to the IMDb and looking what OTHER PEOPLE thought of this or that movie... The PROBLEM with that is actually that 1. Most people's opinons are so unbelievably retarded that it's painful and not interesting or engaging to read them. 2. WHY even bother with these "opinions" when 99 % of the time it is painful as stated in '1.'? What I do LOVE is the trivia section. When a movie was great, I eat up the trivia - and then the goofs. So, what I hope, MovieChat will become, is a site with good moderation, the ability to block other users and (of course) trolls. Hey, isn't F***book more for the older generation these days? I heard, teenagers use even more moronic ways of communication! No, seriously, Facebook is like Email - it's for the oldtimers; the regular jackoffs, the lamers and the squares. It's for attention seeking 40 year olds, strange housewifes and super-narcissistic guys. I seriously hope, that F***book will vanish from the face of the Internet one day... JUST make it possible here (like it was possible even on the IMDb) to block users! Oh, and yes, YouTube comment sections... the true nature of mankind shows there as it did on the IMDb message boards!!! Feels as terrible as the other trailers. Horrible. I wish, Guy Ritchie made another Sherlock movie. Sick of cheesy, over-the-top fantasy movies with too much of everything! As I said in another thread: We NEED the option to block users and trolls. This is horrible! Not, because a felt 90 % of the posts were anyway just bad, half-trolling or full of hate -but horrible because the predictions for a corporate future are basically all becoming true! This is the cold-hearted face of a faceless corporation. It's all about profit. It is soulless and it only pretends to care about the individual (especially in all the cheesy, emotion-indicing advertisements... oh boy, are they good at putting out some stylized "everybody is happy" commercials all the time). Welcome to the future! Found out on the "original" IMDb - hope this will be a lasting and enlightening movie-forum! Oh, and I hope, the design will improve... View all replies >
