Why? Why ruin a decent movie with extremely idiotic and impossible part (SPOILER)...

Seriously, how is it that writers can throw in some really idiotic and impossible part that ruins a decent flick and not even see it happening????

Especially when it could be so easily written around and even included with a just bit more of creativeness?

Yes, I am pointing out the shotgun blasts to the ice to sink the prisoner transport vehicle. Who the hell comes up with idiotic shit like this?? Just a little bit more thought could have avoided this entire movie turn off every easily. For example, the writers simply could have had the guy pull the vehicle in between previously planted explosion devices drlled down in the ice where the guy could remotely trigger them as he walked away. A shotgun could not do the type of damage needed to sink that vehicle.
