Underrated film and franchise.
Very entertaining. Good production values, beautiful full of color aesthetic and a very likeable lead character.
The interest it can generate from watching the characters try to solve the clues and escape the rooms is great. Keeps you enthralled.
Upon watching this entry last night, the pacing was elite. The first 45 minutes were over in the blink of an eye. That's a sign of a great film.
Great 'studio horror' aiming to please and entertain. Not to jerk off the critics, go the film festival circuit route or aspire for academy recognition. Made for the masses, for the fans and it delivers.
Elitist hipsters be damned.
