Here's a few that it did:

Solution is to throw cannon fodder at the enemy until a better solution is found : Starship Troopers

A future war can be averted by time-travelers coming to the present : Terminator

Alien spacecraft crashes with deadly cargo on board : Alien

Aliens let loose, all get killed in an explosion yet strangely the female survives for a showdown with the main character : Aliens

My young daughter will grow up and discover a way to save the planet! But only with daddy's time-travelling exploits : Interstellar

Ancient crashed space ship under the ice - The Thing

Catch and bring back the Queen, from an anthill kind of underground place, to study her up close - Star Ship Troopers

Queen survives after the hive has been nuked - Aliens

World under extinction danger from space threat, call upon dad (via alert system) to be select few - Greenland

Time travel, alien creature invasion, human-levelled extinction, gotta get to the queen to end it, government don't believe the hero, only select few badass does in the end and all die in the final fight - Edge of Tomorrow

Swarms of baddies crawl the compound walls, takes downs helicopters too - World War Z
