I honestly thought I was gonna hate it. None of the trailers sold me. They looked pretty meh to me. Then I saw a bunch of people bashing it. And a lot of negative reviews.
But I'm glad I checked it out. It's honestly pretty entertaining. A good ol fashioned summer blockbuster. If you're just looking for a fun popcorn flick, this is it.
My little brother & I had a blast
I thought it was just about OK. I don't care about all the usual time travel conundrums or the derivative nature of the script and I liked the leads.
I think it's interesting they had a father - daughter relationship at it's centre rather than the usual man - woman plus a hint of sexual tension. I'm not sure it worked but it was different.
What did bug me was the sound track - too bloody heavy in a failed attempt to make it more exciting.
