good but could have been alot better

first of all there was too much slow and romantic setup in the beginning with the family, the little girl was kinda made to be annoying with the mensa genius act, the school kids who are super disillusioned but still come to school with super annoying nerd volcano expert.

J.K Simmons was good but poor character storyline with him having so much money and goods without even a team to remove the time-travel gadgets.

i did like Sam Richardson as the bumbling friend with his humour.

its get good in the future and the action scenes are good, the aliens are good and tough and menacing enough, but same old soppy thing of going to save 1 person who is injured beyond recovery and getting loads killed for nothing. Was atleast expecting the badass dorian and his band of no nonsense crew to leave but they fell for it aswell.

pretty much the mission was 2 things get the vials and get a female - but why not putting everything into getting a female then if its that important and risk everyone dying in the field by bringing only a few soldiers into the cave and not sedate the female with darts.

The end commando mission was o.k to give a big action piece for the last act but easily could have gone around the ship and C4 the whole thing and kinda do an alien thing where the female still escapes and end the same way but then you wouldn't had another few deaths that way.

Also the humour seemed kinda added on later rather then a proper jokes all the way through.
