In the past - just wait for them to appear...
...and shoot them all with virus laced bullets.
In case more ships are unknown. Equip all military with them.

Dan tried to get the government involved and they didn't listen. He went up there for proof and decided to save everyone the time and TCOB.
shareImagine going to the government and telling them you have solid proof that you know exactly where the alien threat will come from and bonus, there's a intergalactic travel capable ship there too, and them just going "nah"!
sharePretty realistic actually.
shareIn a normal situation, sure, the guy would just sound like a crackpot.
But when you literally have time travelers from the future telling you the world is full on ending soon, you damn well follow up on any leads that might prevent the apocalypse. And while Dan didn't have rock solid proof, his logic and research were thorough enough to warrant investigation.
Not when youve been sending soldiers for the past year into the future to shoot those aliens
share@uncleRuckus - they didn't have proof. That's why they went up there. To get it.
shareConsidering that governments sent hundreds of thousands of people into the future to fight an unknown enemy, I'm thinking they would have agreed to check out this Syberia spot. If they didn't see the peeps from the future, if they didn't send thousands of people to their deaths into the future, I think only then would they not have believed this story about the frozen aliens.
That's one more thing I loved about this movie. For once it showed the government as evil at worst, incompetent at best, instead of the usual love that millennial filmmakers have for their mother government.
shareIncompetent, yes, Evil, not really. They should have outsourced the research into the past, transferred the tech and used actual military instead of drafting randos. I can see the future being certain war bringing in fascistic governments into play, but it wouldnt be that fast and wasnt shown in the film.
shareIt made no sense to me.
The government did EVERYTHING they could to send people in the future but when was about to send some troops 10.000 miles away to end it before beginning they were like "neah, too expensive, do you know the price of gas in Florida???"
yep, i thought the same .
inconsistent
they tried to claim it was all busy handling riots and Russia closed their borders but that wasnt good enough in my opinion.
