Pretty Decent! SPOILERS

Legend looks great, and while a few of the actors are a little green and a few of the characters are a little annoying, there are enough strengths to make this worth watching. Especially if you like horror in the woods.

The sights and the sounds of the woods were properly unsettling. It all felt very Algernon Blackwood, which was nice.

I’d say it’s worth a rental. It does get a little repetitive towards the end, the characters get muy stupido, the twists aren’t surprising, and the message of the film is undercut by being too “after school special” and on the nose about it. (The latter would have been more effective if the Wendigo didn’t have a big speech at the end—less is more.)

NB: If you’re a fan of gorgeous men the little brother in this is 10/10. I hope the actor keeps his current physique for a while. Nice and thick but not chubby or fat. I actually thought he was famous or something already because of his name but I guess I was confusing him with the Mimic, Cal Rankin.
