Spoiler Alert A question about one of the scenes in The Stranger.

Why did they show Corinne falling off the bridge? There's a scene at the end of one of the episodes where Corinne falls off the bridge, apparently committing suicide. But it turns out that never happened. I don't get why they did that? Was there some hidden significance I didn't understand? Was it just an attempt to confuse us?

It was Adam's dream, showing his state of mind. He was spiraling after finding the phone on the bridge. It's also a clever mis-direct, in which the audience sees that it was not real, so Corinne must still be alive, which makes the ending all that more shocking.

Thank you! I guess I missed that it was Adam's dream. It sure was an exciting series. But I and my wife totally missed that it was a dream.
