shareThis looks interesting.
shareI’ll have to check this out sometime.
shareso many woke points ...
Still i hope the movie ends up being fun ...
Having woke points isn't as bad as the way they have her as basically being Wonder Woman when she starts climbing outside the plane, having basically super human strength and constantly saving the guys in the film. If she was all they paint her as in the movie why would she have needed to hitch a ride on a plane she could have flown through the air like superman... Worse yet how are you supposed to believe she was ever the victim of spousal abuse if she is so goddamn strong in the movie.... It becomes silly... it could have been fun if they had bothered to read the script and keep it real... Instead you just end up thinking what the hell is going on.
shareactually she wasn't that strong, she couldn't even pull herself up.
I must say I quite enjoyed it. Specially the first half was quite good.
Her strength came and went randomly... how strong would you need to be to climb out of a plane in the air and while being hit with air moving more than 100mph you climb using your fingers like a rock climber along the wing... and that was the problem she went from normal girl to supergirl and back and forth.
shareAdrenaline can do that to people ...

I have to admit, i was quite impressed by how wide her shoulders were in the last part of the movie. And she seemed to have a strong upper arm ...
You might get an adrenaline burst in the right conditions, but you would then suffer a crash which she never did. The biggest problem was the extended climbing sequence on the wing of the plane, then pausing for enough time for the crash to have happened but never waiting long enough for the recovery before she become spiderman again.
shareare you asking for 100% in a movie about flying goblins on a plane???
shareIf she is wonder woman then so be it, but even in wonder woman her power is consistent. That is the problem, she goes from normal to super human for no reason and just ping pings back and forth. It would be like a movie where the gremlin existed in part and was absent in parts for no reason.
shareThere is not an adrenaline rush in the world big enough to allow a human to crawl on the underside of a flying plane.
Ever stuck your hand out of a moving car going 70?
and that explosion would have shredded her to pieces.
of course.
Actually I would have no problem with the scene, if they actually made it look like a struggle. It appears they just turned a box fan towards her to blow her hair around a bit.
I wasn't looking for realism, just some consistency.
I would say it was consistent with the rest of the bullshit ...
Like when the goblin is OUTSIDE Of the plane, floating, and somehow was keeping up at the exact same speed as the plane.
Yeah - not gonna read that. Saw the trailer and I summarize it as Chloë Grace Moretz, in a bomber jacket, in a bomber, punching monsters - I'm sold!
shareTheaters want to much for a ticket to go see a 90 minute movie.
