Anybody else have a problem with the extreme poetic license taken with respect to black holes? Or how, if a black hole could just park on our atmosphere, people would act? Such premises are distracting to the point of breaking the 4th wall. I was enjoying this series...

shareI think you must be right. Seems really weak though, that astronauts would just orbit "over" a blackhole with zero concern until they receive a scary vision.

Still, I don't know why, but I kind of like this version, but I liked the first season

I wish they hadn’t called it a black hole. It’s basically a ‘rip in space/time’ isn’t it. If they called it the rip, or the anomaly then it can just sit there next to earth and their laughable science works because hey it’s not something we know the science of.
