This is the best movie from 2020 that I've seen thus far. Phenomenal performances from a stellar cast led by Carey Mulligan. I don't think I've been this genuinely surprised by the twists and turns of a film in a long time. It's one of those movies where you just give up trying predict what's to come and go for the ride. Very well written and quite the experience.

shareHe was a little baby faced, but there's always that doctor who looks like he's 12 so I bought it. This was the most unpredictable movie I've seen in a long time, and I was very satisfied with the ending.
shareThis movie did keep surprising me and does not play out like the typical revenge flicks. Even the opening scene makes you think one thing (is that....blood on her arm?), and then humorously upends that (oh, it was ketchup).
You think at one point halfway it will almost settle into a rom com, and then another twist happens. Also, good soundtrack and use of sound too. When something serious happens, you get inside Cassie's head and it's this deep score with a lot of bass. Very unnerving but effective.
