Meh. Quick cash grab. I've seen better TV.
I like all the actors but geez this was a way too in-your-face miniscule theme about white privilege surrounding black doubt.

shareWhite privilege is a myth so if that's what it's about I'll pass. Message movies suck.
shareWhite privilege is a myth. It's always been inherited wealth versus the poor. Plenty of colored rich mofos turning their children into entitled assholes who feel bad their friends have such shitty lives.
shareit was ok. if you like bill murray or think rashida jones is pretty. watched it on my lunch breaks.
shareI have finally learned to not watch Sophia Coppola movies.
I did not feel that this movie was about white privilege. What it was about was a wife thinking her husband was cheating on her and reconnecting with her estranged father who is protective of her and thus prone to think the same thing. The End.
The movie is impressed with itself and portrays mundane things in overly dramatic ways. It is a nothing story that goes miles to pretend to be something significant. The only thing, and I mean ONLY thing, of value in this movie is Murray's acting. As a whole, I would describe this as a paint-by-numbers picture in what looks like a frame more expensive than what the picture is attempting to copy. In truth, both frame and picture are cheap.
3.5/10 with Bill
2/10 without
I will watch it. Sophia is my favorite female director even though I only seen her two movies, Lost in translation and Marie Antoanette
shareNah, world doesn't always revolve around blk ppl. Nice try.
