4.2 on IMDb. Is it really that bad?

Compared to the original it’s straight up preachy woke garbage … just horrible and of course it will all be whitey’s fault that these poor mArGinALized peeps got kidnapped to th3 future to suck out there melanin (maybe) … if you thought Supergirl and BatWahmon were bad, just you wait

The original worked because you followed the lives of different people from different backgrounds. It was already a diverse show, and it didnt feel forced. It was organic to the story and mystery.

But this new version screams wokeness, practically foaming at the mouth with the idea of "kill whitey".

This show didnt need a remake. They would have been better off coming up with an original idea.

I'll pitch one idea. The Tuskegee Project (a real life project by the government that harmed black folks) had a more insidious secret, in that it took the genetic information of the subjects and created clones and hybrids to reseed back into the population at a later time. Families begin suspecting something wrong with their family members that "came back" and crazy events begin unfolding. This would easily explain why all the people in the show are black and it could become something worth a watch if you liked x-files/sci-fi in general.

I thought the original got cancelled. They didn't even finish it. So instead of a proper ending, we get another cancellation.

I gave it a 2. It sucked royally.

Because of the new one realized that I totally missed the old one (2004-2007).
In the 3rd season of the old one now and really like it.
