I turned it off after 10 mins.
I watched the previous series and liked them. This seems exactly like them. Not sure why they redid it, other than for a woke makeover.

mixed black and white married couple in bed with baby CHECK
black woman in power position - Lawyer CHECK
70% of the cast is black CHECK
black and white lesbian cop couple acting butch - CHECK

Not saying it's all bad, but really laying it on think - in your face; can't ignore; distracting.
Not for me.

Oh oh, let me know if this is right but, are the black and white couple usually a black male with white female dynamic?

To be fair though, the synopsis did say 'overlooked, undervalued, or otherwise marginalized people' so it would make sense if the cast was mostly POC or in this case, black. Don't forget this is taken up by The CW, a more or less woke network of shows.

No - white male and black power professional female, with the white male staying home to look after the baby.

You're correct, but for me those aren't even the biggest issues with the show. It's just kinda very mediocre, for one, which is sad for a reboot. But for two, everyone is really young, which I find the weirdest thing about the entire show. You'd think if some phenomenon as crazy as what's happening in the show happened irl, then wouldn't long time experts be called in? But everyone in charge is practically a new born.

1. Black and white couple with baby- who cares? I want to know, why do you care?

2. Black woman in power position - this is new? My high school principal in the 90’s was a black woman, this is somehow *woke*?

3. 70% of cast is black - the premise of the show is based on overlooked, undervalued, or otherwise marginalized people coming back and you expected them not to be mostly black? Oooookay.

4. Lesbians - oh noes! This makes you uncomfortable right?

It seems to me that people who use the word ‘woke’ are uncomfortable with our progressive society. Less racism, more women in power, equal treatment of lgbt, these things scare them and it’s sad.
