I actually have been coming here for eons to read posts but never signed up until now to add this. I am hoping people might read and give this show more than an episode or two. I admit I did not quite like it at all at first even though I was drawn to it by its uniqueness. Now I am noticing the complexities more and appreciate what they are doing. Give it MORE of a chance. You might be surprised. I held off rating it until I saw a few more episodes. I just gave it a 9.

I am watching the first episode now. And, I am confused. I was thinking that the scenes with the wacky friends, spouse and the laugh tract were some sort of dystopian hell the main character had to endure. Or, maybe it is just in her mind. But when she leaves the house or is sans the sitcom cast, life becomes all too real. And, dystopian in a more realistic way. I only tried this show because Annie Murphy is a treasure. I am going to take your advise and keep going a little longer. It is strange and bold. IMDB describes the show as, "A look at the secret life of a sitcom wife." That is way too succinct.

I am glad you are giving it a shot. I'll be curious to see what others might think that stick it out a bit. Must admit, my husband just hates it. I have thoughts on why. Perhaps it is a general male response. We could get into depth about the whys but I am sure you get it from what you replied. I am still enamored with the show. I truly am surprised more are not. I did note the ratings went up a tad. Crossing fingers.

I am totally hooked. I just finished episode six of this dark and wonderfully schizophrenic show. BTW, I am a male. Some of the male characters are boorish oafs. But some are nice. As in real life as well as, in this instance, reel life. I do not think this is a "Chick flick" in any way. I know that the "Chick flick" remark is misogynistic but, you know what I am saying. But, yeah, I would be curious as to who makes up the viewing demographics for this show.

PS: Is it me, or does the character Patty O'Connor sound like Rosie O'Donnell? Maybe, looks like Rosie a little, Shrugging shoulders

Glad you watched more. Yes, she not only sounds but even looks like Rosie. Much better though imho but huge nuances.
