Just watched it. Given the considerable acting talent involved, I was quite disappointed. The story felt very weak. If the plot hadn't been so heavy, could have enjoyed for the acting alone, but that was not to be.

That's a pity. Only just stumbled on the existence of this version but I loved the original.

actually a pretty decent movie that switched to different character viewpoints, but didn’t get to closure of many of those characters at the conclusion of the film
