The 'theme' in To the Lake is so similar to "In The House, In A Heartbeat" used in 28 Days Later it sounds near identical

Thought the same!

This show does have some pretty excellent musical choices. "You on the Run" by The Black Angels sounds like classic Velvet Underground.
